This month in class we're looking at ***binds!***
Why? It's one of the most fun way to charge up postures, and create these really fun criss-crossing, energetic loops through the body. After playing with these for a few weeks you'll find them popping up all over your regular practice, delivering some extra charge and sparkliness.
In particular, we're checking out hand binds (hasta bandha), foot binds (pada bandha) and - my fave - hand to foot binds. These get the whole body working together, literally from top to toe. Think some funky bow variations, dancing shiva, chopasana. Maybe a return of our December friend, the baby grasshopper!
