Today we celebrate the dads, grandads and father figures who love, encourage and guide the children in their lives.

🤗 EDUCATORS TOGETHER | MAY 2026 📝

Our teaching staff came together just before the commencement of Term 2 for some connection and moderation at Northern Christian School.
-
After a time of worship we were encouraged by the founding Principal of Channel Christian School, Peter van der Schoor. Peter shared a devotion, encouraging our educators to walk hand in hand with the Lord as they teach in the classroom.
-
Then our staff met with their peers from across our association of schools and worked on a moderation task, before enjoying some morning tea together.

🤝 Independent Schools Tasmania AGM

Yesterday, our CEO and members of the Christian Schools Tasmania Executive Team attended the Independent Schools Tasmania (IST) Annual General Meeting held at Fahan School, joining with leaders from across Tasmania’s independent education sector.
-
We are also proud to acknowledge our CEO’s ongoing leadership as President and Chair of the IST Board, supporting and advocating for Christian and independent education across the state.
-
Following the AGM, school leaders had the opportunity to engage with representatives from Tasmania’s key educational regulatory bodies, including the Teachers Registration Board (TRB), the Office of the Education Registrar (OER), and the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification Authority (TASC). These conversations provided valuable opportunities for collaboration, discussion, and sector engagement.

🏃🏽‍♀️ CST YEARS 3 - 6 CROSS COUNTRY 👟

Isn't it great when we get to all come together!?

This year Calvin Christian School in Kingston hosted our annual all-schools cross country event during the last week of Term 1.
-
Students from schools at Channel Christian School (Margate), Emmanuel Christian School (Rokeby) and Northern Christian School (Bridgewater) joined Calvin on a lovely Autumn day where the rain mostly held off.
-
The course meandered through the school grounds and the surrounding bushland, with Year 3/4 students running 2km and Year 5/6 students running 2.7km.
