Lest we forget the sacrifices made,
& those who kept us safe,
Lest we forget returned soldiers,
changed forever to different men,
May we learn as they asked us
Protecting the freedom for us to be free.

Lest we forget the spirit of the ANZACs
Lest we forget the wisdom of the old,
Lest we forget to have the courage to stand,
Lest we forget the same stars above us
Shone for our soldiers - before our marches began.

Lest we forget the promise to our returned loved ones
Lest we forget they advised us against hatred,
Lest we forget the promises we made
Lest we forget we said “Never again”
As we participate in genocide
May there come a day when we meant it
Today, Grandpa would not be proud

Lest we forget those who profit from conflict
May we stop funding their racist regimes
Lest we forget that we Australia
denied asylum to children of Gaza
May we remember we said “Never again”
May we protect the weak as we were protected
May we act as we promised we would

Lest we forget the promises we made to the ANZACs
May their legacy be not for nought
Lest we forget that we said never again
As we fail to protect those who survive
Lest we forget that we Australia
denied asylum to children of Gaza

Lest we forget the children murdered by Israel
Lest we forget we gave them the means
Lest we forget 100,000 graves in Gaza,
Victims in our silence, victims of our choices
Lest we forget Mum, her father lost for so long
Victim to the post war years
Hero, broken to stop a genocide.

Lest we forget- we support Israel’s genocide
As we march to remember those war has harmed
Lest we forget our wars are not over
While injustice is still being done
Lest we forget the ANZACs were not neutral
They would not have stood by and watched
Fighting the N***s, to protect those in need
Today they would be fighting for Palestine
