An empathetic and personalised service to assist individuals to let go of painful emotions caused by grief to move beyond the pain of their grief and loss to enable them to live life to the fullest. It’s Hope offers online support, programs, training and workshops for individuals and organisations. As a qualified Grief Recovery Specialist, Tanya provides strategies, tools and support for those moving through loss, family issues, trauma and life. Simply defined, grief is the normal and natural reaction to significant emotional loss of any kind. We have all known people who have waited 10, 20, 30 and 40 years, and still don't feel better. We know that not only had time not healed them but it has compounded the pain. Recovery from loss is not about forgetting, it is accomplished by taking a series of actions that lead to completion. Can you imagine what it would feel like to get up every day and experience life with increased quality and confidence in the knowledge that you can achieve your dreams and goals with renewed energy and confidence?

Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 International Men’s Day Breakfast!

Across Tasmania, men are making a difference every day. They’re raising families, mentoring young people, coaching local teams, volunteering in their communities and looking out for their mates.

International Men’s Day is a chance to recognise the positive contribution men and boys make to our families, workplaces and communities. It’s also an opportunity to get together people who care about the wellbeing of men and boys.

This year’s theme is The Future is Everyone. A reminder that the future isn't shaped by one person or one organisation. It's shaped by all of us.

When we support men, we help shape a better future for the next generation.

So, whether you work with men, develop policy, lead a workplace, support your local community or simply believe this work matters, come along and be part of it.

Road victims Tasmania - The Faces

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be running a remembrance campaign and reposting photos of Tasmanian road victims.

I understand this may be confronting for some families. If you would prefer not to have your loved one’s photo reposted, please contact me directly and I will honour that immediately.

Road Victims Tasmania – The Faces was created over 15 years ago to show, plainly and powerfully, that every person lost on our roads was real, loved, and central to the lives of many. They are not just a statistic — and so many of these deaths (if not all) could have been avoided.

And yet, if we do talk numbers… 25 lives lost already in 2026. My thoughts are with the Old Beach community in Southern Tas, as they process yesterday’s tragic news.

Thank you to everyone who has shared photos over the years. I welcome any next of kin who wish to add new faces to this ongoing tribute. Please message directly to arrange.

Almost half of those released from prison end up back behind bars within two years. Convicted drug trafficker Shannon Pursell was one of them.

You're allowed to grieve someone who's still alive.

The parent who can't show up. The friend who walked away. The relationship that changed when they got sick. The version of someone you lost even though they're still in the world.

It's still a loss. Your body still feels it. Your heart still aches. And it still deserves to be grieved, even when the world keeps telling you "but they're still here."

If that's you today, you're not being dramatic. You're being human.

Some mornings you wake up and the weight is already there before you open your eyes.

You don't need someone to fix it. You don't need someone to tell you it'll get better in time. You need someone to see it — to sit with you in it without flinching, without rushing you, without trying to reframe your pain into a lesson.

If that's where you are today, we see you. The grief is real. The weight is real. And you're not broken for still carrying it.

You're welcome here whenever you're ready. No timeline. No pressure.
