Work Pathways takes the upcoming federal elections very seriously! Students practiced the voting process by making up their own political parties in areas they care for: Animals, the Environment, Youth and the Homeless. We voted using ballot papers, and the winner was... the Youth Justice Party! Congratulations Sam & Co for you passionate campaign!

Earlier this month we invited employment services over to watch our Work Education students present themselves as bright young people, motivated and ready to work. After the individual presentations [how hard is it to present in front of people you have never met, and how amazing they all were!] there was time to mingle, network, meet with the service providers and find a good match. The Flip the Job Search event was developed by former TasTAFE teacher Noella Buchanan who retired from the Work Pathways program last year. We are exited to be continuing this fabulous initiative, with the support of National Disability Services (NDS) Tasmania. Well done everyone, and a big thank you to the representatives of the employment services for being such a good audience ;)
