From 12.01am Tuesday 21 December, face masks are required to be worn by everyone aged 12 years and older, whenever indoors.
This includes places such as the supermarket, inside restaurants, pubs and indoor workplaces. There are reasons you may remove your mask including to eat, drink or exercise.
You are not required to wear a mask inside a home – whether you live there or are visiting.
Keep a mask with you in case you need to wear it unexpectedly.
There are medical exemptions for not wearing a mask and reasons are not always obvious, so please be respectful of others.
For further information about face masks, visit: https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/facemasks

COVID-19 booster vaccines are now available in Tasmania at GPs and state-run community clinics.
All Tasmanians aged 18 and over are encouraged to get a booster from six months after their second dose.
The Pfizer vaccine will be given regardless of which vaccine was given for the first two doses.
The booster will continue to protect you, your loved ones and your community against COVID-19.
Book an appointment at a state-run clinic by visiting www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/booking or calling the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738.
You can also book with participating GPs by contacting them directly.
If you have a serious medical condition impacting your immune system, you may be eligible for a third primary dose of vaccine between two and six months after your second dose instead of a booster vaccine. A third primary dose is different to a booster.
Read more about boosters and third primary doses at: https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/vaccination-information/covid-19-vaccination/boosters-and-third-primary-doses
