Precious little folk

We are enjoying glorious autumn days in beautiful Tasmania with the vibrant colours outside on and under the trees as well as inside in the New Town Greenstore & Cafe.

And on Saturday evening when we weren’t making dolls, sewing clothes, going for a stroll (or swim), eating a delicious meal, or watching the wildlife, we huddled in the cosy living room sewing felt Easter eggs for the little babies.

I fully expect you all went home to loving families.
Maybe peacefully resting on a couch, or being non stop hugged by a child. Maybe waiting to be gifted.
May you all bring smiles to many.

It’s hard to wipe the smile of my face when I think back on this wonderful soul nourishing weekend on beautiful Bruny Island.
A weekend of crafting in community, creating beautiful formed dolls using all natural materials.
New skills were learned and new friendships and connections were made.
The weekend started again with delicious scones (thank you so much Georgina) with home made jam and cream.
It finished with each of us reflecting on the weekend while admiring each others and our own dolls during the name giving ceremony.
11 more dolls in the world can only be a good thing.
A heartfelt thanks to everyone for being part of this and to Suzie for nourishing our bodies with the most delicious food.

Gaia’s nest, a childcare service in Mornington, Tasmania, is hosting a community fair, featuring local makers and live music.
And precious little folk will be there with the many “Steiner inspitedy” dolls, large and small as well as many felt folk, suitable for the seasonal corner in your home or workplace.
I am so looking forward to see some of you there.

One spot has become available for this lovely workshop retreat.
I am running another doll making workshop on beautiful Bruny Island from the 20st to 22 nd of this months.
As past retreaters know, this promises to be another beautiful weekend , crafting around the table together in community. Making a 13 inch formed doll in the Steiner tradition.
