This week we recognise Multiple Birth Awareness Week and celebrate the incredible families welcoming twins, triplets and more into the world.

Feeding more than one baby can feel overwhelming at first, but with the right support it is absolutely possible to breastfeed multiples. Many families successfully breastfeed twins — and even triplets — with a little guidance, preparation and encouragement.

A few things parents of multiples often find helpful:
🤍 Your body can produce enough milk for more than one baby
🤍 Feeding together (tandem feeding) can save time and help stimulate milk supply
🤍 Skin-to-skin contact supports milk production and bonding
🤍 Early support from a lactation consultant can make a huge difference

Every feeding journey is unique, and families of multiples deserve compassionate, evidence-based support as they navigate feeding two (or more!) babies.
