Happy World Environment Day!

In 1972, the United Nations General Assembly designated the 5th of June as World Environment Day. Two years later, the first celebration of the day took place under the slogan ‘Only One Earth’. Today, world environment day is a platform designed to raise awareness of the issues faced by the environment. These include pollution, illegal wildlife trade, food security, and sustainable resource consumption.
