“The TasTAFE Bushwalking Tour Guiding course has changed my life!
Through the guidance and support of amazing teachers, who are such inspirational industry professionals, I have grown so much as a person, deepened my connection to Tasmania and have developed the confidence to step straight into the guiding world.
This course not only offers the perfect mix of classroom education and getting hands on knowledge outside in the field, but it also teaches you everything you need to know about starting your career in Tour Guiding in Tasmania and Australia.
The Tourism industry connections you make throughout this course are absolutely priceless and so are the lifelong friendships you are sure to make with your likeminded classmates.
I highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in working in the Guiding industry. Take the leap … it is worth it!”

"The TasTAFE Bushwalking Tour Guide course is unreal!
I had such an amazing time in the classroom and out in the field in some stunning locations and being taught by world class teachers. Their wealth of expertise, from their knowledge of the cultural or historical values of Tasmania to their spectacular interpersonal skills, have given my classmates and I a huge advantage and set a fantastic standard for all of us moving into the industry.
I loved everything about this course and couldn't recommend it higher!"

"Throughout the TasTAFE program I learnt the practical skills which I will now use in my professional career as a tour guide.
These practical skills have also helped in my personal life, by giving me more confidence which I will continue to use for the rest of my life.
I have learnt that Tasmania's history, culture and wilderness are truly unique. Everyday I go to work and get to share this immersive knowledge with others in some of Tasmania's incredible landscapes and by doing so, I create enjoyment and awareness about the importance of keeping these places protected."

“I loved every minute of the TasTAFE Bushwalking Tour Guide course!
We spent as much time in the ‘outdoor classroom’ as the indoor one, learning not only wilderness facts but also the practical skills that enabled me to walk straight into a job when I finished.
This is a HUGE career change for me, a decision that I have not once regretted. It was challenging at times, but also supportive and fun, with great teachers and amazing classmates that are certain to be lifelong friends – and now I finally feel like I’m doing what I was born to do.”
