We're incredibly grateful for the support from Nyrstar Hobart for STEM Ball, and we're super happy to have them on board again this year!

Last year some Nyrstar Hobart personnel went along to this event – it’s fair to say they had a ball!

It was so much fun we just had to be involved in this great event again in 2024 helping support our emerging Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) leaders.

The University of Tasmania’s STEM Ball will take place on Saturday, 21 September 2024 at the Wrest Point Hotel and tickets are now on sale. Make sure you get in quick!

😎 Second quiz of the year 😎

The chemistry faculty have been running an annual quiz for ages, and we're helping out again this year with the quiz and slinging some cheap drinks! 🍻

🕑 6pm Friday August 30th in the Chemistry Staff Tearoom

💸 we'll be taking cash and card on the night, but you can pay for your ticket ahead of time via bank transfer (deets over email)

Another lab tour! 🧪 Curtis is going to be showing us around his research labs, where he and his students work on a range of synthetic chemistry projects.
