Last week, Our Grade 1 students had a fantastic time learning about road safety and putting their skills into practice as they rode their bikes around Traffic School! 🚲🚸

For some, the day was extra special as they reached the big milestone of learning to ride a bike independently! 🌟

📚✨ Book Week at Cana! ✨📚

What a fantastic Book Week Dress Up Day we had at Cana! Our staff and students brought their favourite books to life by dressing up as their favourite characters. 📖🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️🧚‍♀️🦸‍♂️

From superheroes and princesses to much-loved storybook characters, our school was filled with creativity, colour and plenty of smiles! 🌈

A huge thank you to our wonderful students, staff and families for getting involved and celebrating the joy of reading with us. ❤️📚

🏆 HISTORY MADE AT CANA! 🏆

What a year it has been for Cana! Our record-breaking year in Sport continues as Cana has been crowned the Overall Sydenham District Athletics Champions! 🥇🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This is the first time in the school’s history that Cana has claimed the overall district championship — an incredible achievement and one that our entire school community can be incredibly proud of.

A huge congratulations to all of our incredible athletes for their hard work, determination and school spirit.

Our Grade 4 students recently celebrated receiving their First Holy Communion. The students prepared beautifully for this important milestone, demonstrating enthusiasm, reverence and a growing understanding of the significance of the Eucharist. Their thoughtful preparation and participation helped make the celebration a meaningful and joyful occasion for our students, families, staff and parish community.

First Holy Communion is a very special moment in the faith journey of our students, one that they and their families will remember and treasure.

✨ Bringing History to Life at Sovereign Hill! ✨

Last week, our Year 5 students stepped back in time with a visit to Sovereign Hill, bringing their learning about Australia’s colonial history and the Gold Rush to life! 🇦🇺⛏️

Students explored the historic township, experienced what life was like during the 1850s and learnt more about the experiences of people living and working on the goldfields.

A fantastic day of learning, exploration and history! 🌟📚
