📚 Book Week is just around the corner and we are excited to celebrate this Tuesday the 25th of August at 9:15am

Location TBA depending on Melbourne's weather. 😀

Students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character and families are invited to join in on the celebrations by coming along!

We look forward to seeing students dressed as their favourite book characters as we celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling! 📚

🌏🏅 Hillside Commonwealth Games! 🏅🌏

Over the past few weeks, our 21 classes have represented 21 different Commonwealth countries, celebrating the incredible diversity, cultures and traditions represented across the Commonwealth. Students learned about their country’s customs, history and sporting achievements before putting their own skills to the test in our Games!

We finished with a fantastic Closing Ceremony celebrating our winners:

Happy Principal’s Day, Mr Nicdao & Mrs Nichols! 💛

While leadership can change and schools continue to grow, Mr Nicdao and Mrs Nichols have been part of the heart of Hillside for a very long time. 🌟

Over the years, they have supported countless students, families and staff members, helping shape our school into the community it is today. Their care for our students, knowledge of our families and commitment to Hillside extends far beyond the everyday responsibilities of their roles.

Whether they’re supporting a student who needs them, celebrating an achievement, helping staff behind the scenes or simply sharing a laugh in the yard, Mr Nicdao and Mrs Nichols are two very familiar and much-loved faces around Hillside. 💛

Today, our students had the opportunity to give a little of that appreciation back through cards, messages, photo collages and special surprises created just for them.

Thank you so much for all of your support with the Grade 6 Pyjama Day fundraiser! 💙

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by our school community today. Thanks to your support, this was our most successful Pyjama Day fundraiser ever!

Together, the school raised an amazing $750! 🎉

The Grade 6 cohort themselves, won the cohort competition and raised a whopping $198. They will get to wear PJs and enjoy a movie day next week.

Every dollar raised goes towards helping make Graduation Night a memorable and enjoyable celebration for our students. We truly appreciate every donation and everyone who got involved by wearing their PJs today.

Thank you again for helping us create such a special graduation experience for our Grade 6 students! 🩵

We are proud to share our 2026 NAPLAN results, recognising the hard work and dedication of our students, staff and families.
