A proud moment in history as the Royal Tonga Police Band, under the leadership of Band Master Inspector Siosiua Mafi Faka'osi, represented the Kingdom of Tonga at a major cultural festival in Brisbane, Australia.

Their powerful performances and dignified presence showcased Tongan pride, tradition, and musical excellence on an international stage.

Brisbane is getting an early start to a very special celebration — 150 years since the Constitution of the Kingdom of Tonga was established!✨

We’re honoured to welcome the Royal Tonga Police Brass Band to Brisbane, fresh from their incredible win as Best Overall Performance at the first-ever Pacific Police Tattoo in Papua New Guinea earlier this year!🎺Their visit is made possible through the support of the Australian Federal Police and the Pacific Policing Initiative, and we’re proud to play a part in sharing their music and culture with our city. 🇹🇴🤝🇦🇺

Joining them will be the amazing performers from Mamana Academy of Tongan Arts & Culture Inc., who’ll be bringing the spirit and joy of Tonga to life through traditional dance and art.

Brisbane is lucky to have such a proud and vibrant Tongan community, and we cannot wait to celebrate together! 🇹🇴🇦🇺🎶🎉

👑 Birthday Greetings to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukālala 👑

On behalf of the President and Executive of the Brisbane Tongan Community Inc, we extend our deepest respects and warm felicitations to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukālala on the occasion of His 40th birthday.

We give glory to Almighty God for the life, leadership, and service of His Royal Highness to the Kingdom of Tonga.

As His Royal Highness departs Port Moresby following the historic commemoration of Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence Anniversary, we offer prayers for safe travels and divine protection.

“With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” – Psalm 91:16

It is our earnest prayer that God’s abundant blessings, wisdom, and favour continue to be upon His Royal Highness in the years ahead, granting long life and strength in service to God, King, and country.

Queensland Tongan Language School – Honouring the Life of Chris Tauelangi

It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of our dear brother, mentor, and friend, Chris Tauelangi.

His loss is deeply felt by our entire Queensland Tongan Language School community.

Chris was more than a supporter of our school – he was a true punake, a cultural artist who gave generously of his time, talent, and wisdom.

He taught our students the richness of traditional Tongan performance and choreography, weaving together movements, song, and meaning that carried the spirit of Tonga.

Many of our children and youth were shaped by his guidance, learning not only the steps of a dance but also the values of respect, discipline, and pride in our heritage.

Through his teaching, Chris reminded us that language and culture go hand in hand.

His work with our students ensured that the beauty of Tongan traditions was not only preserved but celebrated in the next generation.

For this, we will forever honour his contribution and cherish the memories of his leadership and creativity.

As a community, we are deeply grateful for the time we had with him, though it now feels far too short.

We offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Tauelangi family.

We grieve with you and lift you up in our prayers, asking for God’s comfort, peace, and strength to surround you in this season of sorrow.

Chris, your legacy will live on in every performance, every song, and every student who had the privilege of learning under your care.
