The Mogami Maru rests upright in 50+ metres off Malapascua — a WWII Japanese vessel now covered in coral and marine life.
I was diving with Tam while she taught a TDI Extended Range course, combining deep training with a dive into history.
We had a great trip to Wilson's Prom recently and dived the wreck of the SS Queensland. This ship sank after a collision with another vessel on the 3rd August 1876 while en route from Melbourne to Sydney. It was found and successfully identified by Southern Ocean Explorers in 2005. The SS Queensland is a very pretty wreck, with lots of soft corals and still many artifacts remain.

Great riding trip to Derby, Tasmania to catch up with my cousin Dan and his crew. Had a little encounter with a tiger 🐍 snake this morning which scored me a 🚁 transfer back to Launceston hospital. Nice but somewhat unexpected way to meet some of my interstate colleagues.
First blood test shows no envenomation and just waiting on a couple of repeat bloods before they give me the all clear.
Nothing like full oxygen cylinders ready for a weekend of CCR diving 👌🏻
