🌊 🚤 Science: Making a Boat That Floats! 🚤 🌊
Our Year 2 students have been busy exploring how different materials can be used to make objects that float!
Students investigated what happens when materials are placed in water and explored how the shape, size and design of a boat can affect whether it floats or sinks.
Working like young engineers, students designed, built and tested their own boats. They made predictions, experimented with different materials and designs, observed what happened and made changes to improve their boats. 🔬🛠️
Through this hands-on investigation, students developed their skills in questioning, predicting, observing, testing and communicating their ideas while discovering more about how and why boats float.
What a fantastic way to learn through hands-on science! 👏🚤🌊
