USHS 2026 Athletics Carnival Program π
Principal's update π£ Term 2, Week 9

The 800m & 1500m events will run separate to our Athletics Carnival π
Students wishing to compete in either event & have their results count towards Age Champion points and District Team selection, must sign up on the registration sheets located outside SR12 (Sports Centre).
The 800m will be held on Monday 22nd June (Week 10) at 9:00am on the Oval.
The 1500m event will take place Friday 26th June (Week 10) also at 9:00am on the Oval.
Please ensure you have signed up before the event date π If you have any questions, please see at staff member in SR12.

Our Wellbeing team hosted a Pride event yesterday during lunch & it was a whole lot of fun! π³οΈβπ
The team hosted a BBQ lunch while creative futures students provided live music. IMPACT Community Services & headspace Hervey Bay visited to connect with students & our ULEAD team set-up their snow cone station π€©

β Student Spotlight β
Riley (Year 12) has recently competed in the Australian Swimming Trials at Sydney Olympic Stadium in the Menβs 50m breaststroke & Menβs 50m backstroke π
It was a dream of Riley's to compete at this level, in the top 1% in the country! Looking ahead, he will be swimming in the upcoming Australian School Competition in July where he will race the 100 breaststroke for Queensland π€©
When competing in the National Age Championships, Riley placed 3 top tens & 2 top twenties π Well done, we can't wait to see you continue to achieve your goals Riley!

Students are having a blast on the Outdoor Rec Rock Climbing & Abseiling camp!
They completed a 25m climb yesterday afternoon in between showers & then went back to camp for dinner. It was an early start today to tackle the 40m climb π§
