We are a passionate, community-focused not-for-profit charity dedicated to supporting children, families and educators across the Fraser Coast. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, play and thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Our Foundation provides Early Childhood Early Intervention services for children from birth to eight years, alongside parent and educator programs, autism-specific support, and small-group learning programs for preschool and Prep-aged children. Through play-based learning, family partnerships and early intervention, we aim to build confidence, strengthen connections and celebrate every child's unique abilities. 🌈

We’re putting together one HUGE night of live music, laughs, questionable fashion, magnificent mullets, competitions, raffles, prizes and some good old-fashioned bogan fun — all for a bloody great cause!

The Bogan Bash will raise funds for Play 4 Change Inc., helping local children and young people impacted by trauma, domestic & family violence and adversity. 💜💙

And we already have some pretty exciting news…

Saltwater Cartel will be our MAIN ACT — and they are generously donating their performance for the night! 🤘

The Hervey Bay RSL is also generously providing the venue, helping us make this event possible.

And yes… THE GREAT MULLET CHOP is coming too!

Bella provides Creative Arts Support at Play and Beyond and has quickly become a very popular member of our team!

With a background degree in Criminology and Psychology, Bella also brings extensive experience working with local children and young people, including those from trauma-impacted families.

Bella uses creativity, art and connection to provide individualised support that gives children and young people another way to express themselves, build confidence, develop skills and work towards their individual goals. 🎨✨

🧸 Play Therapy — daytime sessions plus weekly after-school availability on Tuesdays
🎨 Creative Arts Support — limited Wednesday & Thursday availability, including after-school sessions
💰 Some of our fees have recently been reduced
🌼 Spring CAP Program — new private clients can access Play Therapy at $50 OFF per session *eligible clients only

💙💛 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲!

Why did I decide to join?

Because these amazing people are volunteers who give their time, skills and energy to make a genuine difference — both within their own communities and much further afield.

Something else that really resonated with me was learning about Rotary's work around domestic and family violence. Across Australia, Rotary has been involved in raising awareness, supporting prevention and education, promoting respectful relationships and helping communities better recognise and respond to family violence.

Given my own passion for supporting children and young people, particularly those impacted by trauma and DV/FV, this is obviously an area that means a great deal to me.

I may have also casually suggested that by the end of 2027, a few more members could perhaps be sporting some colourful hair. 😂
I can't be the only member of Rotary Club of Hervey Bay Sunrise in Hervey Bay with blue hair!!
I suspect though that particular community project may take some convincing. 😜
