We are looking for passionate and dedicated Sports Coaches to join St Michael’s College in Term 4 for our summer programs. If you have experience in coaching and a love for mentoring young athletes, we want to hear from you! ⚽🏀🎾

Coaching Positions Available:
• Touch Football

• Basketball
• Badminton

Previous coaching experience or background in sports is preferred, an ability to motivate and inspire students, strong communication and leadership skills, and commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sports environment is essential.

We've officially reached the end of Science Week, closing out a fantastic series of activities aimed at engaging students in practical and enjoyable science experiences.

Over the course of the week, students participated in a range of hands-on sessions including a Van de Graaff Generator, DIY Lava lamps, UV Handwashing and Dry Ice with Soap Bubbles. Thank you to our Science Department staff and teachers for bringing these experiments to life 🌟

⭐️National Skills Week Highlight⭐️

As a partner college of Western Technical College, we are thrilled to announce that it has been named a finalist in the 2026 SA Training Awards in the VET Innovation for Schools category.

This achievement recognises Western Technical College’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative programs and pathways that help students build the skills and confidence needed for success in Vocational Education and Training (VET).

More than 100 Year 10 students have recently participated in Try-a-Trade programs at Western Technical College, while current Year 11 students are completing Certificate II trade courses in Automotive, Construction, Electrotechnology, Engineering, Plumbing, and Hairdressing.

🌟National Skills Week highlight 🌟Careers and pathways presentations showcased the exciting opportunities available within our local community.

ASC visited St Michael’s to showcase career opportunities in engineering and apprenticeships. A highlight of the session was hearing from St Michael’s Old Scholar Oscar Mitchell, now a Naval Architect in ASC’s Engineering Graduate Program, who shared his inspiring journey from student to engineer.

Interested students in Years 9 to 12 heard from industry experts in the building and construction sector, including Master Builders, Metricon Homes, Outside Ideas and Regional Skills Training. Presenters highlighted apprenticeship pathways, local employment opportunities, essential workplace skills and machinery licences that can help kick-start a successful career in the industry.
