A big congratulations to our student buskers, who raised $204 on Sunday for the MND and Me Foundation, to fund motor neurone disease research. It’s a fantastic effort, and goes to show that at any age, each one of us can make a difference with our time and talents.

Thanks to everyone that came down and showed their support, and especially to the students and parents that gave up their time to make it happen.

How cool is this! Ara Williamson and her ‘jam club’ string students from St Agnes Primary school have done it again, raising a further $203 for the 40 hour Jammin fundraising appeal. Shenzo will be giving a free workshop in September for the students in appreciation for their amazing efforts so far.

Multi-instrumentalist and music teacher Ara Williamson from Clayfield Music Studio is hosting An Afternoon of Moana - a music workshop for kids aged 7 to 14.

Students learning any instrument are invited to come along on Saturday June 17 in Mount Gravatt, and learn three songs from the movie, including our favourite, Shiny.It will run from 1:00 to 4:30pm, with a concert for family and friends at 4:00.

Anybody who has been learning their instrument for more than one full term is welcome; there are parts for all instruments and all levels of ability.

Love Moana?

We are hosting an afternoon of learning and performing the music from Moana. It will be in Mount Gravatt on Saturday June 17 from 1pm, with a concert for families at 4pm.

Children between the ages of 7 and 14 are welcome to attend, on any instrument, as long as they have been learning at least one full term. (Note that strings students will need to be comfortable using their bow, to make the most of the experience)

Students will learn How Far I'll Go, You're Welcome and Shiny, from the hit movie.

Only $30 per child.
