🎉 A Week of Success at Helidon State School! 🎉

Congratulations to Jacaranda House for winning last week's Spelling Bee! Both teams impressed us all with their fantastic spelling skills in a close and exciting competition. Well done to all students who participated.

👏 This Friday, students who have consistently earned PBL dollars through positive choices and hard work will enjoy a special reward activity presented by Bunnings.

⚽🏐 We also wish our senior students the very best as they represent our school at the Lockyer Zone Netball and Soccer Carnival this Friday. Good luck and have a fantastic day!

♟️ Chess Competition – Toowoomba ♟️
Today, our three chess teams from Helidon State School travelled to Toowoomba to take on some seriously competitive schools from across the Darling Downs South West region.

Our students did an amazing job of holding their own against some very strong competition! 👏♟️

They played their best, picked up several wins along the way, and showed great improvement in their game throughout the day. Most importantly, every student walked away with their head held high, knowing they gave it their all.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented Helidon State School — with determination, sportsmanship and pride.

Well done, team! You are an amazing group of young people, and we’re so proud to have you representing our school. 💙♟️👏

🐭 Teacher Aide Appreciation Week at Helidon State School! 🐭

They may be a part of the Three Blind Mice, but there’s nothing blind about the amazing things these ladies do for our students! 👀💙

They see the needs, the challenges, the little wins and the big achievements — and they’re there every step of the way with care, patience and a whole lot of heart.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Teacher Aides for everything you do for our students and our school. We appreciate you this week and every week! 💙 😁

🦘🐨 Australia Zoo Recap! 🐊🦁
Well… after our massive day at Australia Zoo, it’s taken staff and students a week or two to recover! 😂

What an incredible day it was! Our students travelled all the way to the Sunshine Coast, explored the zoo, saw some amazing animals and enjoyed a fantastic day of learning outside the classroom.

We couldn’t be prouder of every single student. They were absolutely amazing from start to finish and did a fantastic job representing Helidon State School — even after a VERY long day! 👏💙

A huge thank you to our wonderful parents for your patience with our very late arrival home. We promise we weren’t trying to keep the kids overnight! 😂

Our students have once again shown us that they can learn, behave and thrive in any environment — and they certainly know how to make memories along the way!

📸 We’re currently sorting through hundreds of photos and can’t wait to share more moments with our families throughout the year.

What a day! What a bunch of legends! 💙🦘
