What a night it was at our Sports Awards! Congratulations to every student who took part in sport this year, and to all our award winners, including our MVPs, the Sportswoman of each year level and OLMC Sportswoman of the Year, Hanna.

A special thank you to Holly Griffiths, Class of 2022, for taking the time to speak with our sporting community and share the highs and lows of her basketball journey so far. It was a wonderful reminder of what hard work and dedication can lead to.

To our students and their families, thank you for the early mornings, the training sessions and everything in between. Your commitment does not go unnoticed. Thank you also to everyone who joined us to mark the end of a fantastic year of sport at OLMC, and to our staff and Sports Captains for their support all year round.

Here's to another big year of sport in 2027.

Don’t forget to book your tickets for our Sports Awards Night!

Join us tomorrow evening as we celebrate the achievements, commitment and contribution of our students across the College’s sporting program.

We’re also excited to welcome back Holly Griffiths (Class of 2022) as our guest speaker. Holly has taken her basketball career to the highest levels of U.S. Division I college basketball, earning an NCAA Division I scholarship and playing for Pepperdine University, Fresno State and Grand Canyon University.

Now playing with the Southside Melbourne Flyers, Holly will share her journey, the lessons she has learned along the way and her insights with our sporting community.

Families are encouraged to book their tickets and join us for a great night celebrating OLMC sport. Bookings can be made via PAM.

What a way to (almost) finish Horizon!

Over the past three days, our students have put their learning into action at Horizon Camp, taking on a range of challenges including caving, abseiling, puzzles, games and plenty of teamwork.

Students also took responsibility for cooking their own meals and put their skills to the test in a camp bake-off, with teachers stepping in as the judging panel.

Horizon Camp is the culmination of a term of learning outside the classroom, giving students the opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence, work together and create some great memories along the way.

A fantastic three days and a fitting end to the Horizon experience!

Our Year 10 students had a fantastic time at a Wheelchair Basketball clinic with Basketball Victoria today, learning first hand that all abilities sport is about having fun and building understanding, while giving the mind and body a workout too.

Yesterday we welcomed some of our Year 7 2027 students onsite for a special Music Workshop, giving them a taste of OLMC’s co-curricular music program.

Students had the chance to try a range of instruments, meet our Music staff and connect with some of our current music students.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to spend time at the College, meet new people and begin forming friendships with students who will be their classmates next year.

We loved having them with us and look forward to welcoming them back to OLMC on Orientation Day.

Cheers to checking in! Our students celebrated R U OK? Day with cupcakes and conversation at lunch today. It's a great reminder that support doesn't need grand gestures, just a genuine question and a willingness to listen. Tonight, why not ask someone at home, 'Are you OK?' You never know the difference it could make.

It's R U OK? Day, a great day to remember the importance of checking in with the people around us.

A simple conversation can make a real difference. Take the time to ask, “Are you OK?”, listen with care and let others know they are not alone.

At OLMC, we continue to encourage a community of kindness, connection and support, where looking out for one another is part of who we are.

Our OLMC Elite Dance and Year 9 Dance Elective students lit up the stage with a spectacular showcase of talent, passion and hard work.

From months of rehearsals to the final bow, these girls brought energy, precision and pure joy to every performance. What a night to celebrate their dedication to dance.

A huge congratulations to all our dancers and a big thank you to the staff who supported them along the way.
