Every song, game and musical adventure has been building towards this week’s milestones.

Here’s what our Mini Maestros have been discovering:

👶 0s – Musical phrasing
🧒 1s – Responding to musical form
🌈 2s – Colour recognition
🎤 3s – Echo singing
🥁 4s – Playing an ostinato

To little children these feel like fun activities.

To us, they’re building listening, memory, confidence, language, musical understanding and school readiness—one playful moment at a time.

Not every child is the first to jump in… and that’s okay. 💛

Some little ones sing straight away. Others quietly watch every movement, every song and every smile before joining in.

That doesn’t mean they aren’t learning.

They’re taking it all in.

At Mini Maestros, we often call these children onlooker learners. They observe, process and build confidence in their own time—and then one day they’ll surprise you by joining in with everything.

There isn’t one “right” way to learn.

There’s only their way.

Here’s what our little musicians are discovering in Week 5:

👶 0s: Experiencing different metres
🥁 1s: Feeling a steady beat
🎺 2s: Recognising instruments and their unique timbre
🚂 3s: Learning about presto (fast tempo!)
🎭 4s: Performing a musical composition

Each activity may look like fun (and it is!), but every song, game and movement is carefully designed to build musical understanding, confidence and whole-child development.

We’re so proud of every little milestone along the journey. 💜🎶
