This year, our Career Experience Day Expo expanded to include an engaging Industry Interview Panel, giving our Year 10 students the opportunity to gain valuable insight into a range of industries, employment opportunities, workplace conditions and employee rights. Students also heard some insightful and inspiring personal stories from our panel members:
Madigan Kepper – QRET ,Renee Cahill – ADF Careers , Ayva Rontaunay – Selectability , Tayla Connolly – Careers in Gear , Paul Goldsack – Paynters
In our Courtyard Expo, Year 10–12 students had the opportunity to speak directly with industry representatives and learn more about their chosen career pathways, opportunities for further study, employment options and the different pathways available to help them achieve their career goals.
A huge thank you to all of the businesses and organisations who took time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge, experience and expertise with our students. Your support provides our young people with valuable real-world connections and helps them see the possibilities available for their future.

50 School Days to Go! 🎓✨
The countdown is officially on for our incredible Year 12 students—just 50 school days until they complete their secondary school journey!
Over the years, this cohort has embraced every opportunity, overcome challenges, built lifelong friendships, and created memories that will stay with them long after graduation. We are incredibly proud of the resilience, determination and growth they continue to demonstrate each day.
As the final weeks unfold, we encourage our seniors to make the most of every moment—whether it's in the classroom, on the sporting field, at special events, or simply spending time with friends. These are the moments that become treasured memories.
Here's to finishing strong, celebrating every milestone, and looking ahead to the exciting opportunities that await.
We can't wait to celebrate this journey with you, Class of 2026!

📚 SET Plan Interviews – ARE HERE!

A reminder to our Year 10 students that SET Plan Interviews are happening tomorrow, Tuesday 25 August.

These important interviews give students the opportunity to sit down with teachers and discuss their subject choices for Years 11 and 12, helping them make informed decisions and set themselves on the best pathway towards their future career and study goals. 🎓✨

📅 Tuesday 25 August
⏰ 8:30am – 3:30pm
📍 TCTC Building – carpark entrance off Dalrymple Service Road, Heatley

👉 Year 10 students only need to attend school for their booked interview time. Normal classes are cancelled for Year 10 students.

👔 Students should come dressed as though they are attending a job interview.

Come prepared, ask questions and make the most of this important step towards your future!

Stellar 6 Fitness 💪

What a fantastic morning of fitness and fun! 🌟

During Week 6, Heatley welcomed Year 5 students from our primary partner schools for a morning of challenging fitness activities as part of our Stellar 6 Excellence Program.

Under the very capable guidance of Mr Jake Hicks, our visiting students were put through their paces and tackled each challenge with enthusiasm, determination and plenty of energy! 👏

By the end of the morning, the students agreed that their transition to high school is now looking a little less daunting… and a whole lot more exciting! 😍
A huge thank you to who sampled 'Life at HSC' from Vincent State School, Heatley State School and Currajong State School.

Parents and carers of our Year 10 students, it’s time to book your QCE SET Plan Interview!

🗓️ Tuesday 25 August
⏰ 8:30am – 3:30pm
📍 TCTC

These important Parent/Teacher/Student interviews are an opportunity to discuss your student’s future pathways, subject choices for Year 11, career goals and plans for senior schooling.

⭐Every Year 10 student SHOULD attend a SET Plan Interview.

👉 Bookings close Friday 21 August at 9:00am.

Please refer to the attached graphic for booking instructions, what students need to bring and important information about the day.

👔 Students should dress appropriately for a job interview and attend with their parent/carer.

📌 There are no normal classes for Year 10 students on this day. Year 10 students attend ONLY for their interview time and then go home.
