Well done to our Legendary Learners for the week!

Miley, Zoe, Hayley, Grace and Tahlana have been working hard in the academic space, this week at assembly we celebrated their achievements!

DECOLONISING THE BELLS
On Saturday, 12 Worawa students will join Noongar composer and viola player Aaron Wyatt and Speak Percussion at Monash University as part of the Kindred People Festival.

Decolonising the Bells reimagines the familiar sound of bells, questioning what and how we commemorate and exploring the colonial symbolism and history held within the Federation Handbells.

We are so proud of our girls and the work they have been putting into rehearsals. Enjoy these photos captured at practice. There are still a few tickets available to come along and check out their hard work!

MFC LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
A group of Worawa students have been working alongside Melbourne Football Club AFLW girls as part of the MFC Leadership Program!

Designed for our Year 9 cohort, the program is supporting students as they prepare for the transition into VCE and adult life. Through mentorship with the Melbourne players, students are developing confidence, self-advocacy and leadership skills, while exploring what it means to be a positive role model as they mature.

This weekend, the girls headed to Casey Fields to support Melbourne in an epic win against the Brisbane Lions!

A huge thank you to the Melbourne Football Club AFLW team for being such incredible mentors and role models for our students.
