As we move closer to the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, which falls on the 21st of June, we are invited to pause and listen to the deeper rhythm of the Earth.

The winter solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. It is a sacred turning point in the wheel of the seasons — a moment where the darkness reaches its fullness, and from that stillness, the light slowly begins to return.

We have the choice to use this turning of the seasons as a time of reflection. Not as something heavy or sorrowful, but as a quiet invitation to look within. To sit with the darkness that may be present in our lives, our hearts, our memories, and deep within our bodies. The darkness we often avoid. The darkness we rush to fix, explain, or move beyond.

But darkness is not always a dangerous place.

Sometimes, darkness is a place of stillness — a sacred space where we can honour our need for rest.

It is a quiet, reflective shelter. A protection from the noise of the outside world. A place where we can withdraw from expectation, performance, and distraction, and return to the truth of what is moving within us.

In the darkness, we are not asked to pretend. We are not asked to be bright, certain, healed, or complete. We are simply invited to be honest.

Honest about what has hurt us and what we are holding onto.

Honest about what we are ready to release.

Honest about the parts of ourselves we have hidden, abandoned, or kept silent.

There are corners of the soul that only we know. Tender places. Forgotten places. Places where grief, fear, longing, and hope have quietly lived. The winter solstice gives us permission to enter these inner places with compassion rather than judgement.

To sit beside them. To listen. To breathe. To begin again.

The darkness holds the space for renewal. It is the womb of becoming. The place where the seed rests before it breaks open. The place where the unseen begins to gather strength. The place where the first quiet, restorative stirring of new life begins long before it appears in the outer world.

And so, the solstice reminds us that light does not return all at once.

It returns slowly.

Softly.

Faithfully.

After the longest night, the days begin to lengthen again. At first, the change is almost invisible. But beneath the surface, the turning has already happened.

This is the sacred teaching of the winter solstice: even in the deepest darkness, the light is already beginning its return.

May this season offer you the stillness to reflect, the courage to release, and the grace to welcome the first quiet light of renewal within your own heart.

Many people imagine communication with Spirit as something extraordinary or rare.

But in truth, it often begins in very simple ways — a feeling, a thought that carries a different quality, a sense of presence that cannot quite be explained.

In this step in my upcoming book, Sacred Connections, we learn not to force the experience, but to create the conditions where it can naturally arise.

This is where connection becomes real, personal, and quietly profound.

You see, a conversation with Spirit does not always sound like words.

It may come through
sensation,
emotion,
imagery,

or a deep sense of knowing.

The more we refine our awareness — through the heart, the body, and the witness/observer — the more clearly we begin to perceive these subtle forms of communication.

Communication with Spirit happens by recognising what has always been available, within your conscious field.

There are moments on the spiritual path where clarity does not come straight away. Where the mind searches for answers, yet nothing fully resolves.

In Sacred Connections, we enter this space — Trusting the Unknown.

Not as grasping or passive waiting, but as a conscious softening of control.

It is here that we begin to realise that not knowing is not a failure… it is a doorway, a rite of passage.

You see, the mind seeks certainty. It wants direction, outcomes, and understanding.

But intuition does not always arrive in that way.

It often emerges gradually, through presence, patience, and subtle awareness.

With this understanding, we begin to loosen our grip on needing to know, and instead learn to remain open.

This is where trust begins to form — not in answers, but in the unfolding itself.

In the stillness beyond sound and form lies a sacred threshold.

The silence between worlds.

It is here in this liminal space, that the soul softens, the mind quiets, and the Spirit comes near.

This space is not empty, but alive with consciousness, presence and information.

The more we can be in flow in the witness/observer state, located in the space between our thoughts, the closer we are to communicating with the spirit world.

Be the silent witness. The observer of your reality.

Step 4 of my upcoming book, Sacred Connections, introduces the Witness/Observer state and explains how to create space for communication with the spirit world.

In the golden stillness of Samhain, she sits between worlds—listening as the quiet voices of memory, spirit, and lineage rise to meet her.

This is the season of gentle endings… a sacred descent into the inner landscape.

As the outer world softens and slows, you are invited to turn inward—to rest, to reflect, to release what has completed its cycle.

Like the earth preparing for winter, this is a time to nurture yourself deeply, to honour the need for stillness, and to allow your mind, body, and spirit to restore and re-energise in the quiet wisdom of retreat.

Samhain is celebrated on April 30th - 1st of May 2026 in the Southern hemisphere. You can light a candle for your ancestors and to honour the turning of the seasons.

(Samhain is the liminal threshold between Summer and Winter in Celtic and Irish traditions)

The body is not separate from consciousness.
It is consciousness… expressed in form.

So many of us have learned to override it. To doubt it. To silence it.

But your body remembers.

In this step of my upcoming book, Sacred Connections, you are gently guided back into relationship with your physical and energetic self—where intuition becomes grounded, safe, and real.

Because true spiritual connection is not about leaving the body…
it is about fully arriving within it.

There is a wisdom that lives behind you.
A lineage that has walked before you, breathed before you, loved before you.

In Step 2 of of my upcoming book, Sacred Connections, we gently turn toward our ancestors with a simple ritual — not to carry their burdens, but to honour what is ours, and release what is not.

This is where healing begins to ripple both backward and forward through time.

Because healing your lineage… begins within you.

There is a quiet strength that lives within you…
a lineage of stories, choices, love, and survival that has carried you here.

To honour your ancestors is not only to remember them—
it is to recognise what moves through you now.

Their resilience.
Their wounds.
Their wisdom.

And in this sacred moment, you are given a choice—
to gently hold what is yours to keep,
or to consciously release what no longer belongs to your path.

Honouring your ancestors becomes a living practice…
a bridge between past and present,
where healing is no longer something you wait for—
but something you embody.

In Step Two of my upcoming book, Sacred Connections, you will be gently guided to honour your ancestors, recognise what you carry from them, and consciously choose what to heal, what to keep—and what to release—as you return to your own truth.

Many of us try to solve life with our thinking mind.

But the mind alone cannot guide us through the deeper mysteries of love, grief, healing, and spiritual connection.

The heart carries a quieter wisdom.

In Step One of my upcoming book, Sacred Connections, you learn to gently return your awareness to the heart and allow it to soften the noise of the mind.

From this place of inner harmony, intuition begins to awaken naturally.

Many empaths feel the emotions of others so strongly that it can become overwhelming.

You may walk into a room and suddenly feel anxious, drained, or emotionally heavy without understanding why.

In this video, I explore why empaths absorb other people’s emotions and what is actually happening in your awareness when this occurs. Sensitivity is not a burden — it is often a sign that your perception is highly attuned to emotional and energetic environments.

However, when we do not understand how this sensitivity works, it can lead to exhaustion, confusion, and emotional overload.

In this teaching, I explain:
• why empaths feel other people's emotions so deeply
• the difference between empathy and emotional absorption
• what is happening in your awareness when you sense others
• how to remain sensitive without becoming overwhelmed
• practical ways to stop absorbing emotions that are not yours

When you understand the nature of your awareness, sensitivity can become a strength rather than a burden.

If you have ever felt like you carry the emotional weight of others, this video may help you understand what is really happening — and how to regain balance.
