The Sensei is Robert Anderson - 4th Dan Black Belt in IKGA.

Karate will start this year at 5pm on Monday 12 February. We will shift the venue to the War Memorial Hall in Lachlan Street this year.

🥋🥋 KARATE RESURGENCE 🥋🥋

A popular television series about the martial art karate is reinvigorating an interest in the sport in the western Riverina.

Hay Karate Dojo Sensei Rob Anderson says the show 'Cobra Kai' has led to several new starters.

"We really try and avoid the violent side; it's not a good thing to perpetrate the violence," he said.

Mr Anderson has been the local sensei for 22 years and said his classes focus on developing concentration.

"A lot of children come here without confidence and karate gives them a sense of personal achievement," he said.
