SENIOR SCHOOL | BRISBANE 2032 OPPORTUNITIES

Today, our Year 10 and 11 students welcomed Dom Lamb, Director of Community Affairs for Brisbane 2032, to Lourdes Hill College.

Dom shared an exciting insight into the opportunities that will emerge in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, encouraging our students to think about the many different career pathways and possibilities that a major global event can create.

A wonderful opportunity for our students to look ahead, ask questions and consider where their own skills and interests could take them as Brisbane prepares for 2032.

A wonderful two mornings celebrating the Fathers, Grandfathers and special Father Figures of LHC!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for breakfast and helped make both mornings such a special opportunity for our students to spend time with the important Father Figures in their lives.

TOYO EIWA STUDY TOUR

It was a pleasure to welcome students from our sister school, Toyo Eiwa, to LHC for a special Study Tour in our Junior School!

Throughout their visit, the Toyo Eiwa students joined in Junior School life, sharing experiences, building friendships and forming wonderful connections with our girls.

To farewell our visitors, we came together for a special celebration of culture and friendship. Our Toyo Eiwa students shared traditional Japanese dance and karate, while our LHC girls performed dance and aerobics routines and a song.

Thank you to our friends from Toyo Eiwa for sharing this special experience with us. We loved having you as part of our LHC community and hope you take home many happy memories! 💜🌟

Today, our Year 5 students welcomed Street Science to LHC for a hands-on science incursion focused on light!

Through a range of interactive experiments and demonstrations, the girls explored how light behaves and interacts with the world around us, bringing their classroom learning to life.

BOOK WEEK 2026

That’s a wrap on Book Week at LHC!

Our Junior School Book Week Parade brought the week to a colourful close, with plenty of creativity and brilliant costumes bringing much-loved books and characters to life.

Earlier in the week, our Years 7–12 students joined in the fun with their own Dress-Up Day, while Write a Book in a Day put our students’ creativity and storytelling skills to the test.

Our current College Captains, Emma and Samara, are passing the baton (or in this case, the flowers) over to our 2027 College Captains, Sienna and Maddison!

As we welcome Sienna and Maddison into their new roles, we also say a very big thank you to Emma and Samara for the incredible way they have led our College this year. We are so grateful for the energy, heart and commitment you have brought to LHC and our community 💜
