A family recently shared a heart warming reflection about a conversation at home following a school discussion on kindness.
During the conversation, their child shared:
"When you do kind things for other people, you feel really happy because you did something kind and the other person feels happy too."
It was a simple yet powerful insight that highlighted how deeply children can understand and embrace the values being explored in their learning.
Moments like these remind us of the importance of nurturing not only academic growth, but also kindness, empathy, and thoughtful citizenship in our students.
The family member concluded by saying "One of the many examples that reinforced that we had made the right decision in choosing Erasmus."
Have you had a similar reflection or unexpected conversation with your child that made you smile or pause and think? We'd love to hear your story.

Our Year 5 and 6 students transformed into natural philosophers as they explored questions, conducted investigations, and shared their findings at the Science Fair. We were proud to see their curiosity, creativity, and excellent scientific thinking as they confidently presented their work.
Well done to all our young scientists!

What a wonderful morning at our Prep Expo!
It was fantastic to welcome both incoming and prospective families to Erasmus and see so many new connections being made within our school community.
Our future 2027 Prep students had the opportunity to meet one another, explore the learning environment, and experience a glimpse of daily life at Erasmus, while families connected with staff and discovered our beautiful facilities.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a warm, engaging, and memorable introduction to the Erasmus community. We can't wait to welcome our Prep 2027 families back for future exciting events still to come! 💙📚🌿

A few of our Year 5/6 students recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to Little Lane Early Learning Centre, where they spent time reading stories and playing games with the younger children.
The visit gave our senior students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, build connections with the community, and be positive role models for the early learners. The younger students loved listening to the stories and joining in the fun activities prepared by the senior students.
A big thank you to Ananya, Adirai, Maya, Veom, Dylan, Tarun, and Julius B for representing our school so positively and making the visit such a success! ⭐

In our Year 6 needlework class, students are developing their “superpower” of focused attention ,stitch by stitch. By taking their time to learn new stitching techniques they build confidence and enjoy the process of creating something by hand. Have a look at the sample and some of their beautiful works in progress below.

🌿 Get a glimpse into Garden Harvest, our student art exhibition 🌿
Garden Harvest brings together a delightful collection of still-life drawings created by Erasmus Primary School students and inspired by their school garden. Each artwork reflects careful looking and thoughtful mark‑making, as students explored the journey from growing and harvesting to creating and sharing.
✨ There’s still time to visit — the exhibition is open until 2 May
📍 Hawthorn Town Hall Gallery
Rich in colour, texture and pattern, these drawings capture the abundance of the autumn harvest — produce the students helped nurture before it became a hearty soup enjoyed together in the school kitchen.
