Here is the new date for our presentation night !!

Assalam o alaikum girlies 🎀
Hoping to see you all at our presentation ‘night’ this upcoming Saturday.

We’ll be starting off with a quick round of jeopardy as an ice-breaker, and then get started with our presentations inshaAllah! (With ofcourse a break for prayer in between)

You can pick any suitable topic of your choice. (As random, creative, or niche as you’d like)
Each presentation would go for 5-10 minutes (max.)

Please create a set of PowerPoint slides, and ensure that you have the file saved on your mobile device. This is so that on the day the slides can be feasibly shared with the laptop responsible for screen-sharing/projection.

Presentations will be judged on content, delivery, engagement, etc. (Rubric will be shared on the day) There will be prizes for the top 3 presentations.

See you there Inshallah! 💗

Uni is hard. But two hours with the Quran might do more for you than another hour in the library.

The Turning Point of Return: How does brokenness become a new beginning?

He fell. And Allah didn’t leave him. Neither will He leave you.

We live in a world obsessed with numbers.

Followers. Views. Grades. Achievements.

But sometimes those numbers don’t mean anything.

When 313 Muslims faced an army 3x their size, better equipped, and ready for battle - the odds were stacked heavily against them.

And yet, the battle of Badr ends up being perhaps the most important victory in the history of Islam.

So how did that happen?

And what does it mean for you - when life gets difficult, and it seems like there’s no way out?

Come along to this week’s Roots workshop to find out

🗓 Date: Monday 7th September
⏰ Time: 6.30 pm
📍 Location: EN Building, Room 101, Swinburne University, Hawthorn.

You have an enemy.

He has been trying to bring you down
since the very beginning.

But what is he really after?

This week at “Risala SWINIS”, we continue the story of Ādam (AS) and uncover the enmity of Shaytan, how he seeks to turn us away from Allah, and how we can protect ourselves from his attacks.

📖 Week 3: From the Enmity of Satan to the Safety of Servitude
- Brothers: Wednesday, 2nd Sept · After Maghrib (~5:45pm) | Hussam Al Emadi
- Sisters: Friday, 4th Sept · 4pm | Fatima Binish
📍 SWINIS Musallah

Know the enemy. Protect the path. Bring a friend, take a seat, and let’s step into the story together.

When the Prophet pbuh arrived in Madina, he built a mosque.

But it wasn’t just bricks and mortar - it was a place where strangers became family and faith brought people together.

It was the community hub, the spiritual focal point.

In 2026, we’re more connected than ever - Whatsapp messages, our daily beReal updates, Instagram stories.

And yet loneliness is on the rise. Mental health issues are increasing.

So what can the Madinan community teach us about friendship, belonging and serving one another?

Join us for this week's Roots workshop as we rediscover what it means to never walk alone.

✨ Not a lecture. Not a seminar.
💬 Conversations, live polls, quizzes & community
🍪 And there may be snacks 👀

🗓Monday 31st August
⏰ 6 pm
📍 EN Building, Room 101, Swinburne University, Hawthorn.
