About 6 years ago (maybe more) my mum, Viv, and I dropped into Camp Coorong to visit good friend Aunty Ellen Trevorrow.

A few Ngarrindjeri Elders and academics from Swinburne University of Technology were sorting though hundreds of old photos.

We had a chat about the Ara Irititja technology that many Anangu use to document and share photos and stories.

Pretty special to be with Aunty Ellen and community at Ngarrindjeri Ruwe Empowered Communities building this weekend for the official launch of the first 2,000 digitised photos and videos as part of the Ngarrindjeri Photography Project.

Today marks Sorry Day. It also marks four years since the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

In it, First Nations people called for Voice, Treaty and Truth. Labor stands with you.
