📚✨ Big school adventures are getting closer! ✨📚

Our Blinky Bill School Leavers had a very special visit to Hobartville Public School today, joining the Kindergarten classes for an exciting introduction to mathematics, classroom learning and a little taste of big school fun! 🧮✏️🎒

The children moved between three different Kindergarten classrooms, meeting new friends, reconnecting with old friends and sharing their own knowledge and experiences along the way. 💛

Their confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm were simply amazing to see! From joining in with classroom activities to chatting with the teachers and children, our school leavers showed just how ready they are for their next big adventure. 🌟

We are beyond proud of our Blinky Bills and the confident little learners they are becoming. We can’t wait to watch them take those next steps into their big school journey! 🥰🎓

A huge thank you to the wonderful Kindergarten teachers and Hobartville Public School for welcoming us and making our visit so special! 💕

🧚‍♀️✨ And just like that… our Book Week adventure comes to an end! 📚💫

What a magical week we’ve had at Hobartville Long Day Preschool! From wandering through the 100 Acre Wood 🐻🍯 to stepping into the wonderful world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 🍫🎩 and even travelling along the Yellow Brick Road 🌈👠, our educators have certainly embraced the Book Week spirit!

And to finish things off, our educators sprinkled a little fairy magic around the centre! 🧚‍♀️🌸✨ With wings, sparkles and a touch of fairy dust, we spent the day spreading smiles, giggles and a little bit of enchantment.

We’ve loved seeing the children’s faces light up as their favourite stories and characters came to life throughout the week. ❤️📖

A huge thank you to our wonderful educators for getting into the spirit of Book Week and proving once again that you’re never too old to dress up, be silly and let your imagination fly! 🧚‍♀️😂✨

🍫🍭 COME WITH US TO THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY! 🍭🍫

Today our educators swapped their usual coffee breaks for a golden ticket and stepped straight into Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for Book Week! 🎟️✨

We had our very own golden ticket winners, Oompa Loompas and a whole lot of chocolate factory craziness! 😂🍫💜

Luckily, there were no children falling into chocolate rivers, getting stuck in blueberry mode or turning into giant blueberries… although with this crew, anything is possible! 🤣🫐

🎟️🍫 Golden tickets, colourful costumes and plenty of Book Week magic — what more could you want?

🍯🐝 Oh, bother… another book week at Hobartville Long Day Preschool! 📚✨

Our educators have stepped straight out of the pages of Winnie-the-Pooh and into the 100 Acre Wood! 🌳💛 From Pooh Bear and Piglet to Tigger, Eeyore and friends, our preschool was buzzing with a little extra magic today!

As Pooh reminds us, “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” 💕 And we think our little Hobartville friends certainly do!

🌈✨ There’s no place like… BOOK WEEK! ✨🌈

Today our educators clicked their heels together and took a little trip down the Yellow Brick Road! 👠🧙‍♀️🦁🤖

Our very own Wizard of Oz crew brought all the fun, colour and just a little bit of chaos to Book Week! 😂💚

We had witches, wizards, lions, scarecrows and a whole lot of ruby-slipper fabulousness! ❤️👠

Because apparently working with preschoolers wasn’t magical enough… we had to become The Wizard of Oz too! 🌈

🧪✨ Blinky Bills Get Their STEAM On! ✨🧪

Today our Blinky Bills had an exciting and hands-on STEAM experience with Jeremy from BoomLab! 🔬💡

The children became little scientists as they discovered how to make slime. They made predictions about what ingredients might be needed, suggesting different types of flour, before learning that corn flour and coloured water were the secret ingredients! 🌽💧🎨

One by one, the children had a turn mixing and stirring the slime, using their strong muscles to mix, mix and mix! 💪😄

The excitement continued as the children explored vibrations and sound using the black box. They felt the vibrations from low to high and experimented with different sounds and animals to see how the vibrations changed. 🔊🎶

Then came the best part… slime dancing to the vibrations! 🕺💃 The children placed slime into the music box and watched with amazement as it moved up and down with the sound.

Our educators Anna and Bella were even called upon for a very important scientific experiment! 😂 They used their arm strength to move a skipping rope slowly and quickly, while following the children’s enthusiastic instructions to explore how vibrations travelled through the rope. 💪〰️

There were lots of predictions, experimenting, teamwork, big movements and even bigger noises! Our Blinky Bills had an absolute blast discovering that science can be messy, exciting and so much fun! 🧪🧠✨

🎉 HAWKESBURY FEST IS TOMORROW! 🎉

Looking for something fun to do with the family tomorrow? 🌟

Hawkesbury Fest is on Sunday 9th August, 10am–3pm at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor — and it’s FREE! 🥳

There’ll be markets, community stalls, emergency services, music, food, entertainment, a giant slide, sports zone and a parkour course! 🤸‍♀️🎶🍔

It’s a wonderful chance to get out, have some fun and celebrate our amazing Hawkesbury

📚🎉 BOOK PARADE FUN! 🎉📚

Our Blinky Bill school leavers had the BEST adventure this week! 🥰✨

We headed up to Hobartville Public School to join in their annual Book Parade, and our little book lovers were so excited to be part of the fun! 📖🎭

There were SO many fabulous costumes to admire, and our children loved cheering on their siblings, friends, teachers and, most importantly, each other! 🥳👏💕

We even got to sneak a peek inside the school library 📚🤩 and have a look at the Book Fair before heading down to the oval for a well-earned morning tea. 🧺🌳

It was such a wonderful morning filled with books, smiles, friendship and a little taste of school life! 🎓💛

A huge thank you to Hobartville Public School for welcoming our Blinky Bill children and letting us join in the fun! 📚✨

We’re so proud of how confident and excited our school leavers are becoming! 🥰🎓💫

🌿A Beautiful Day of Learning and Connection 🌿
The Gumnuts and Blinky Bills enjoyed a truly wonderful and engaging day today, filled with curiosity, creativity, and cultural learning.
We were delighted to welcome Brielle from Wingaru Bubs, who shared her knowledge of Aboriginal culture and spoke with the children about the importance of respecting and caring for Country.
The children took part in a meaningful hands-on experience, helping to mix natural ochre to create paint. With great care and pride, each child painted their hands and pressed their handprint onto a tree display. Brielle explained that this act symbolised “signing in to Country” — a respectful acknowledgement of the Traditional Custodians of the land and a recognition of our shared connection to Country.
There was so much joy in learning together with the children being introduced to new words, including “Warami,” meaning “hello” in the Dharug language. They also enjoyed a lively song celebrating Australia’s native animals, moving and singing along with enthusiasm.
The experience continued with a beautiful story featuring native Australian animals and Darug language words. The children listened with great attention, showing curiosity and excitement.
Throughout the session, the children explored Indigenous culture through storytelling, music, language, and hands-on creative expression. It was a meaningful experience that nurtured respect, appreciation, and a deeper understanding of Australia’s First Nations cultures and the importance of caring for Country. 🌏💛
