Tonight we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of our Approved Providers owning Teach-A-Tot Preschool! It was a fun night full of laughter…and the occasional bit of self loathing directed at our painting skills 😅😂 (Emma’s son Zac was a ring-in due to someone not being able to make it, but he did work in our kitchen a while back, and he attended TAT from the age of 6 months, so that counts 😁)

📚✨ Book Week Fun! ✨📚

What a wonderful Book Week we’re having! Our children have been immersed in stories, imagination and learning as we celebrate the joy of books together.

From dressing up as favourite book characters to bringing in beloved books to share with friends, there has been so much excitement and enthusiasm throughout the week!

We’ve also been getting creative with lots of book-inspired activities. The children made their very own fire trucks inspired by Fizz the Fire Fighter 🚒🔥 and explored Cooee Mittigar, learning about Australian animals and discovering their names in Dharug language. 🐨🦘🦅

It has been wonderful to see the children sharing stories, connecting with each other and bringing their favourite books to life through play, creativity and learning.

A big thank you to our families for helping make Book Week such a special and memorable celebration! ❤️📚

Did you know…

- Teach-A-Tot Preschool is open 52 weeks per year, closing only on public holidays? We value supporting children and their families by providing consistent care.

- We work closely with an inclusion support agency and Hawkesbury Early Childhood Intervention Service (HECIS) to provide education support where it is needed most.

- Our director is on the HECIS committee to help ensure this vital service continues to support children in our community for years to come.

- We collect donations of clothing, toys and home goods from families and deliver them to the Save the Children charity store, playing our small part to help families in need, whilst helping to reduce the pile-up of donations left out in the weather next to donation boxes in the community.

- We have only a limited number of vacancies left for 2026. If you are considering enrolling your child this year we encourage you to get in quick!

Congratulations to our Gumnut babies on winning second place for their painted wreath!

Also a very big well done to all our fabulous little dancers who performed on stage at the show this year. You were so brave getting up there and you danced beautifully!
