💙 St Mary’s Dads & Special People Celebration 💙

We are looking forward to celebrating all the wonderful dads, grandfathers and special people in our St Mary’s community!

📅 Friday 4 September
⏰ 8:00am – 9:30am

Join us for a special morning together, beginning with a muffin, danish or fresh fruit, followed by some fun activities inside and outside. ☕🥐🍎

🙏 At 8:50am, families are invited to join us in classrooms, in family groups, for our special Father’s Day & Special People Liturgy.

We can’t wait to welcome you and celebrate the special people who mean so much to our students. 💙

✈️🎨 Creativity Airlines has landed in JAPAN! 🇯🇵 🎨✈️

Today in Art, our Prep–2 students boarded Creativity Airlines with Captain Coco 🦜✈️ and headed off on an exciting adventure to Japan!

Our young artists learnt all about the wonderfully unique Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, famous for her love of dots, patterns and pumpkins! 🎃🔴🟡🟢🔵

We started by turning ourselves into some very crazy dot people 🤪🔴🟡🔵 before discovering how repeating dots can also help us slow down, focus and centre ourselves as we create.

Inspired by Kusama’s iconic pumpkins, the students then created their own fabulous Dotty Pumpkins, filling them with bold colours, patterns and, of course… LOTS AND LOTS OF DOTS! 🎃✨

The results are bright, joyful and bursting with personality. We think Yayoi Kusama would be very impressed with our little artists! ❤️

🌟 Welcome, Mini Mary’s! 🌟

Today we were so excited to welcome the next class of St Mary’s—our 2027 Preps!

Our Mini Mary’s joined us for their first transition session, beginning their journey as part of the St Mary’s community. It was wonderful to see so many excited faces as they explored, connected and started getting to know their new school.

We can’t wait to watch our Mini Mary’s grow in confidence and belonging over the coming months as they get ready for their big start in 2027!

What a fantastic day at the Westernport Parish Sports! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our Year 3–6 students had a wonderful time joining with our friends from St Brendan’s and St Joseph’s for a day of sport, teamwork and friendly competition. It was great to see students encouraging one another, showing excellent sportsmanship and giving their very best in every event.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. We are proud of the way our students represented St Mary’s with enthusiasm, respect and school spirit!

This Week at St Mary’s!

This week, we are especially excited to welcome our 2027 Preps for their very first Mini Mary’s session! We can’t wait to welcome our newest little learners.

Today, Mrs Black is a minor celebrity! 📰⭐

Mrs Black has an article in today’s Herald Sun alongside a former student she taught almost 20 years ago!! It was a very special moment as they reconnected all these years later.

The story has come full circle, with that former student now a teacher too. It is a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact teachers can have on the lives of their students and the incredible ripple effect of education across generations.

It is so exciting to find out what happens to the students we teach and hear of their successes!
