We had our Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival last Saturday 7th April and students from the Bhagya School of Dance did a fabulous performance that evening! We are so excited to share these beautiful snaps from the festival, taken by Flashed Photography Canberra.

Here's bringing some extremely good news with the start of this New Year for all you beautiful people.

With every dollar collected from the tickets sold at Siw Sanda Roo 2016, we managed to buy enough medicine to last months for patients of the Sri Lankan Cancer Hospital. We donated this medicine during the month of November 2016.

Below is a picture taken when one of our senior students donated the medicine (only a very small part of it shown in the picture) to the director of donations, in November 2016.

Hope all our students are enjoying their holiday so far. We hope to see everyone at the start of our next term on 5th of February.

Some students of Bhagya School Of Dance performed in the Kalabala Nagaraya drama concert on Saturday the 22nd of October.
They acted as scary little mice and did an amazing job of it. Coudn't be more proud of them!

Hi all,

Apologies for not being more active during the past couple of weeks.

However, we are back with some AMAZING news for all students in the South side of Canberra!!!

We will be starting classes for all students and parents in the south side who are interested in learning SriLankan dancing (Pahatha rata/Low country and Uda rata/Kandyan), from next term, starting 16 October 2016.

Classes will be held as below:
Junior classes: 11am - 12pm
Intermediate classes: 12 - 1pm

North side class times are also changed as per below:
Intermediate classes: 3 - 4pm
Senior classes: 4 - 5pm
Junior classes: 5 - 6pm

සිංහල නාට්ය කලාවේ උන්නතිය උදෙසා Sri Lankan Theatre Group of Canberra වෙතින් ඔබට පිදෙන කැන්බරාහි දෙවන සිංහල නාට්ය දිගහරුම "කලබල නගරය" ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 22වන සෙනසුරාදා - රන්ග පීටයේදි ඔබ ඉදිරියේ දිග හැරෙන වගයි.

A beautiful Sri Lankan drama produced by Miss Indunil Liyanage of Canberra, to be held on Saturday the 22nd of October at the Arts Centre, Union Court, Acton! The show will be held in 2 sessions, at 2pm and 6.30pm. Make sure you don't miss it!
- Dances will be choreographed by Miss Bhagya Palihawadana!

Students of Bhagya School of Dance will be performing three beautiful items at the Adaraneeya Rohana concert, this Saturday the 20th August from 6pm onwards! Be there to enjoy and experience this beautiful music and dances!
