Today, we were lucky enough to have YouthCARE Australia come along to our school and provide free coffees to parents and staff. Their fantastic team also brought along some games and assisted our Chaplains in serving pancakes to students for breakfast. We would like to thank everyone who made this possible! It was a lovely morning, where staff and parents had the opportunity to slow down and have a chat with those around them over a warm drink.

🚨🎉 WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE EDUGANZA 🚨🎉

We are super excited to share our school with you at the Eduganza on Thursday, September 10th! If you haven’t been to our Eduganza before you might be curious as to what you should expect on the evening. We have lots of fun things organised, such as:
✨ Celebrate 10 years of Harrisdale in the undercover area
✨ Bring your picnic rug for a food truck dinner on the oval
✨ Performances
✨ Classrooms open for parents
✨ Specialist classrooms open for parents
✨ Sport activities with our PE Teachers on the oval
✨ A Harrisdale Parent Hub

What a day! Our 2026 Book Day was fantastic! Students chose a word and created a costume to represent it. We held a Book Day Parade and students got to enjoy some buddy reading time in the afternoon. Thank you to all our wonderful parents and carers for their work in creating such amazing costumes. Thank you also to our Staff Literacy Team for their work in making the day such a success.

🚨🎉 ARE YOU READY FOR THE EDUGANZA?🚨🎉

We are super excited for the upcoming Eduganza! If you missed our last post, this event will take place on the afternoon and evening of Thursday, September 10th.
There will be a large variety of activities and events happening throughout the evening, so we encourage you to mark the date in your calendars.

The times of the evening are as follows:
3:45-4:15pm: 10 years of Harrisdale celebration in the Undercover Area
5-5:30pm: Student Performances in the Undercover Area
4:15pm-6:30pm: All classes open
6:50pm: Gates close

We are so excited to see you there on the evening!

We would like to congratulate one of our fantastic Year 6 students, Bella on being selected to play in the School Sport WA Girls 12s Basketball Team. She will be travelling to Newcastle, NSW in October for the School Sport Australia Games. We are incredibly proud of Bella!

We would like to congratulate all of our students who participated in the 2026 Spelling Bee. It was a fantastic event, with students demonstrating dedication and determination as they worked hard to memorise and master their words.

A very special congratulations to our outstanding winners on their wonderful achievement!

Students in LA18 reading The Stolen Girl by Trina Saffioti. In the story, the main character enjoys damper bread with golden syrup and milky tea alongside her grandmother. After reading this special moment, LA18 decided to make their own damper bread to experience a small part of the story.

After a baking fiesta students enjoyed their freshly baked damper with golden syrup and a cup of milky tea while Miss Smith reads them a special story.
