💤 A Rest-Time Snapshot 💤

From busy little feet, chatter and play… to this. ❤️ At rest time, our playroom takes on a completely different feel — lights softened, blinds down, soft music playing, and a calm, cosy space for little bodies to slow down, rest and recharge.

(My personal favourites are pop songs turned into lullabies … although I’m not sure the children appreciate them quite as much as I do. 😉🎶😂)

I love seeing how our room can change throughout the day to meet what the children need in that moment. 🥰

And with our new little cot area now in place, it’s gradually becoming a space that will work beautifully for both our current children and the little bubbas joining us in the future. ❤️

🌿 A Storeroom Refresh! 🌿

While the playroom is regularly maintained, refreshed and reorganised, the storeroom can sometimes be the forgotten space behind the scenes! 😂 So it was definitely time to give it some attention too.

With my new resource rotation system being trialled, this setup should make changing resources so much easier. When it’s time to rotate, I can simply swap the tubs over rather than sorting through shelves and boxes to find what I need.

And whatever you do… don’t tell Mr Just 4 Tots how many resources are actually in there or he’ll start asking where on earth I’m planning to fit the next delivery! 🤫😂 We’ll just say Just 4 Tots needs to be well resourced and leave it at that. ❤️

🌿 A Little Playroom Refresh! 🌿
With our new cots now in place, I took the opportunity to give the rest of the playroom a little refresh too. Our home corner, construction space, quiet area and activity tables are all still here. But I’m also being a little more selective with the resources available at any one time, giving children more opportunity to combine materials, use them in different ways and let their imaginations take the lead. A refreshed space that will continue to be shaped around the children who use it every day. ❤️

As I continue preparing Just 4 Tots to welcome babies in the near future, the cots have officially arrived and been put together! 🤍

They are absolutely beautiful and fit perfectly in our room. There is still a little more work to be completed over the coming weeks to ensure our little sleep area is safe, comfortable and ready for the children, but it is all starting to come together beautifully.

Our very first little bubba starts in November, and I am so excited to prepare this special space for them! 🥰

A very successful trip to the Early Childhood Resource Market today with my good friend Cheryl! 💛

I picked up some beautiful new open-ended, sensory and culturally meaningful resources ready for the new little ones joining Just 4 Tots in 2027. The transition may still be a little way off, but the preparation—and the excitement—has definitely begun! 👶✨

And here it is in action! 🥰It’s not quite finished yet, but I couldn’t wait to give it a little test run! There was already plenty of reaching, touching and exploring, and I can’t wait to see it completely finished and ready for the future babies of Just 4 Tots. 💕🌈

One of the best things about having a creative daughter who is also early childhood trained is that I can delegate the making of resources! 😂 A few supplies, a hot glue gun and plenty of imagination later, and she is helping me prepare some beautiful new resources for the babies who will be joining Just 4 Tots in the future.
