Just 4 Tots Family Day Care

And just like that… I’m back! 🌈✨

I know I’ve been a little quiet of late, but after six wonderful weeks away, today I reopen my doors again to a fresh space — a blank canvas ready to be filled with laughter, play, friendships, stories, creativity, discoveries and lots of learning. I’m so excited to welcome everyone back, help the children settle into our routines again, and see where their ideas and interests take us next.

Also… watch this space for a little holiday update! I’ll be sharing how I helped prepare the children before I went away, and how we stayed connected during my travels through our much-loved Jofli the Travelling Bear. 🧸✈️🌍

Some days are beautifully simple 💛
It’s been a long time since I’ve had this many little ones here on the same day… and I have to admit I’ve really missed it. No expectations other than being together, exploring, connecting, and simply enjoying the moment.

There is something so special about watching little faces light up when they see their artwork on the wall 🥹

Because the things they create matter — and the skills they learn along the way can’t be measured 🤍

I’ve been making a few changes to the room lately and it’s all starting to come together so nicely 😊 I’ve been moving things around and rethinking a few spaces to help the children engage more with different areas of the room and the resources available throughout the day.

A few of our spaces: Book corner — for stories, quiet moments and cuddles with a book; Home corner — for imaginative play and lots of everyday role play; Loose parts & construction — for creating, building, exploring and big ideas; Round mat space — for spontaneous play, child-requested activities, and those times when children come together to play with or without resources

A big thank you to Grace & Maggie for the gorgeous new rugs — they’ve added so much warmth to the room (and are SOOO soft and squishy) 🤍 The kids and I are arguing over who loves them more!

We’re proud to be supporting a wonderful community initiative led by Cheryl’s Family Day Care, and we’d love for our broader community to be part of it too. Supporting one another as small family day care services is something I truly value, and this is a lovely opportunity to give back after years of shared support. 💛

Our Play It! Learn It! Live It! wall captures the everyday learning happening here at Just 4 Tots through play, exploration and shared experiences. It highlights real moments from the children’s day — from discovering new ideas, to showing kindness, staying active, and learning how to keep ourselves and our friends safe.
