Welcome to Hamilton State School – a school that is over a 100 years young. Since 1907, Hamilton State School has provided quality educational opportunities for the Hamilton/Ascot community. Our school prides itself on the personal nature of a small school, where close relationships are built between the students, staff and parents. The wonderful family atmosphere and community spirit are second to none. Hamilton State School is a lovely small school located in a quiet suburban street. The heritage trees and building highlight the traditions of the past, yet the upgrading of information communication technologies and our brand new library, emphasise a school moving into the future. I encourage you to visit our school and to experience the unique educational environment Hamilton State School has to offer.

What an adventure today for those who attended the Brisbane Writers Festival at The Powerhouse Theatre in New Farm.

As an extension opportunity in English, these students were offered plenty of inspiration, ideas and entertaining stories from well known authors Jaqueline Harvey and Sally Rippin. It was great to have the authors sign our library copies of their books too. Check out the library display.

Cauliflower Mac n Cheese was a delicious taste tester on a cloudy day today. Our students loved a small taste and kept coming back for more. Families will have the opportunity to purchase a family serve in a few weeks when Bev is back from a well deserved holiday.
