Today's the day!

From today, January 5th, the 3 Day CCS Guarantee has arrived, making quality early learning more accessible than ever for Australian families! 🙌

Here’s a quick reminder of what this means:
✔️ CCS-eligible families guaranteed at least 3 days per week (72 hours per fortnight) of subsidised CCS care — no activity test required.
✔️ Potential to save thousands of dollars each year
✔️ Increased access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families (up to 100 hours per fortnight)
✔️ More children gaining the benefits of quality early learning

💛 Celebrating Our Team 💛

This week we came together as a whole centre to share a special morning tea and celebrate our wonderful (and mighty!) little team.

We laid out picnic mats, slowed down for a moment, and enjoyed a delicious morning tea made by our amazing chef, Miss Chrislyn. It was a chance to pause, connect, and recognise the people who make our centre what it is every day.

Each educator also opened a card with a personal note sharing why they’re valued, what they bring to our community, and why we’re so excited to see them step into their new rooms in 2026. Then, hidden under a scratch-away stick was their room and co-educators for 2026! Stay tuned as we reveal who will be in what room for 2026 next week!

These moments matter. Strong teams are built on connection, appreciation, and feeling seen. We’re really proud of the culture we’re continuing to grow here at Guardian Hamilton.

We’re so excited to soon be launching To BE Me – our bespoke program that celebrates every child’s unique journey and makes learning visible like never before.

✔️ To BE Me is tailored to support your child through each stage of their first five years, from their earliest days through to their transition to school.
✔️ It sets easy to follow Development Pathways with your child’s milestones captured in a meaningful way.
✔️ Each child has a personalised book with a record of their milestones, friendships and memories, recorded all the way up to school.
✔️ It groups your child’s learning into seven areas to help you see their progress clearly. Each of these areas has behaviours or skills that are generally linked to each age and stage.

You’ll be creating healthy, balanced meals for children, catering to a variety of dietary needs, and helping to make mealtimes a happy part of the day.

🎳 Strike! Bowling Fun at Guardian Hamilton 🎳

Last week, the children worked with Miss Braedi to create their very own bowling alley—complete with pins, a "lane," and plenty of cheering!

From designing the space to setting up the pins and taking turns rolling the ball, the children were completely immersed in this collaborative play experience. Along the way, they explored:
🔢 Early numeracy—counting pins and keeping score
💬 Communication and turn-taking
🧠 Problem-solving and coordination
💪 Motor skills and eye-tracking
🎨 Creativity in designing their setup

It was a wonderful way to bring real-world play into our environment while supporting physical development, social skills, and teamwork. Plus—loads of laughs and high fives all around!
