SYMPHONY OF STORIES // BOOKWEEK
What a fabulous day we had today celebrating literature!

Our school was a buzz of excitement as it came to life with characters from our favourite books and famous musicians.

Such a wonderful opportunity for our whole community to come together and share in our students love of literacy!

Delicious BBQ, divine coffee, fun activities and vibrant costumes! Thank you to all involved!!

📚 Year 5/6 Book Week Webinar📚
Our Year 5/6 joined over 4,000 students from around Australia in a webinar presented by The National Gallery of Victoria. The presenter was acclaimed Australian author Jacqueline Harvey. She has written over 60 books and sold over 2 million copies of her books world wide. Jacqueline shared her love for literature with the students and engaged them with some creative writing tasks. We are so lucky to be involved in this terrific opportunity!

🌈 Grab your most colourful or silliest socks and wear them on Wednesday the 26th August and bring along a gold coin donation.
The money raised will go to supporting Standing Tall a great community organisation that mentors kids in our community.

🏈🏈AFL 9's🏈🏈
All you need is a football and friends (plus a little rain and some mud!) and that is a recipe for a whole lot of fun! Some of our Year 5/6 students went to Pedrina Park with other local schools to play in a junior carnival. We sincerely thank Andrew, Malcolm and Jayden for coaching our teams!

🏐 NETBALL CARNIVAL 🏐
Today our Year 5/6 students played in a Netball Tournament at Pedrina Park. Weather didn’t look great to start with but we ended up with sunshine and all of our players having had a great day! Massive shout out to Natasha for coaching and to Casey and Sylvia for umpiring.
