We have some very talented FCC students! This week, the Festival of Art was launched at Phoenix Shopping Centre which celebrates the creativity and imagination of young local artists aged 5 – 18 years with incredible artworks on display, inspired by the theme ‘Your World.’
Imogen, Ava, Elsie and Jayosha from FCC have entered this competition. There are some great prizes on offer! Help our students by heading to Phoenix Shops before June 21 and voting for them.
They’d greatly appreciate your support!

For the past two weeks, our College has focused on the biblical festival of Pentecost, remembering the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Special Chapel services across the College have reflected this theme.
Pictured, here, is our Primary Chapel service. Students learnt about what it means to ‘be filled with the Spirit’ using a donut analogy and some of our Year 10 students were on-hand to pray with students who wanted to know God more.
It was a special time and to top it off, each student received a donut to remind them to be filled with the spirit.

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is an annual Australian event where millions of children and adults across the country gather to read the exact same picture book at the exact same time.
It is organized by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) to promote literacy and the joy of reading. This year, we are reading Luna Roo: the Kangaroo Baller with 187 primary students involved!

Last Friday we were blessed to hear from guest speaker, Petrina Neufeld from Breath & Clay, as we marked National Reconciliation Week as a College. Petrina Neufeld is an Aboriginal Australian from Perth. Her consistent message is that God is always working, by His Spirit, to reveal His nature to mankind, to redeem us, restore us and direct us to Christ.

On 18 May, our Year 7–10 students were immersed in a rich and engaging Chinese cultural experience through a hands-on incursion exploring the traditional instrument, the Guzheng, and the art of Chinese tea culture. This incursion provided students with a wonderful opportunity to experience Chinese culture beyond the classroom through meaningful, hands-on learning. By actively participating in music-making and tea tasting, students developed a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese traditions.
