Room Thirteen β Miss Belshaw πβπ¨
Room 13 has been busy learning about addition, exploring more and less, and using hands-on materials to share our mathematical thinking. We love working together and solving problems as a team!
Our love of reading continues to grow, with students enjoying beautiful picture books and reading with friends along the nature trail.
In Visual Arts, weβve been getting creative with a variety of materials, making Easter bunnies from recycled cardboard, special Motherβs Day koalas, and colourful love hearts that showcase the things we cherish most. πβ¨

JAPAN DAY ππ
What a fantastic celebration of Japanese culture and creativity!
Students were welcomed in the morning by a very special guest β Pikachu β‘ β before taking part in a range of fun, hands-on activities. Throughout the day they enjoyed air-dried clay modelling, tamaire (a traditional Japanese ball game), creating ink-blown cherry blossom trees, making hachimaki (headbands), listening to Japanese stories, folding origami, and exploring traditional Japanese toys.
The excitement continued with our Hanami (Cherry Blossom Picnic), where students sang songs and shared a delicious obento lunch together under the spirit of the cherry blossoms. πΈπ±
It was a wonderful day filled with learning, creativity, and fun, with students fully engaged in exploring Japanese traditions and culture.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day such a success! πΈ

π Students in Rooms 9, 13 & 15 recently enjoyed a very exciting and educational visit from paramedics Alix and Abbey! π©ββοΈπ©ββοΈ
Our students had the opportunity to learn all about the important role paramedics play in our community and explore some of the equipment they use every day.
The highlight of the visit was getting to look inside the ambulance! Each class had a βpretend patientβ who was carefully helped onto the stretcher, giving students a hands-on look at how paramedics care for people who are hurt or unwell.
Students also had the chance to:
β¨ Lie on the stretcher
β¨ Sit in the driverβs seat of the ambulance
β¨ Ask lots of fantastic questions about emergencies, ambulances, and life as a paramedic
A huge thank you to Alix and Abbey for taking the time to visit our school and create such a memorable learning experience for our students! ππ
