Please wait in the pergola for pickup. This will make things much easier, as students can bring all of their luggage inside, then collect their own belongings from the pergola, along with any medications they have stored with us.

There once was a night in Canberra so bright,
With Questacon adventures and laughter all night!
We twisted and turned, we discovered and spun,
We learned, we explored, and we had so much fun.

Then off to The Mint when the morning was new,
With coins to discover and plenty to view.
We saw how theyโ€™re made, from beginning to end,
And learned lots of things we can tell every friend.

But now comes the time for our homeward-bound trip,
So tighten your seatbelts and donโ€™t let them slip!
With memories packed and adventures in tow,
Thereโ€™s one final journey โ€” and off we shall go!

So wave goodbye, Canberra, youโ€™ve been quite a treat,
With wonderful places and friends oh-so-sweet.
Weโ€™ve laughed, learned and explored, from start until end,
And made memories together weโ€™ll happily send.

Now homeward we travel, with smiles on our faces,
Back home to our families and our familiar places.
What a wonderful trip! What a marvellous crew!
And Canberra, weโ€™ll always remember you!

Oh, the places weโ€™ve been,
Oh, the things we have seen!
And now, home we go โ€”
What a magnificent team!

Canberra, Politics and a Whole Lot of Power!

Off to Canberra our kids did go,
To learn how the nationโ€™s leaders run the show!
From Parliament old to Parliament new,
They explored the places where big decisions brew.

They met Pat Conroy, our Shortland MP,
Who talked about politics โ€” and democracy!
There were questions and answers, and plenty of chat,
And hopefully nobody asked, โ€œSoโ€ฆ whatโ€™s your salary at?โ€

Then came the mock sitting where things got serious,
In the House of Reps and the Senate red,
They debated, they argued, they stood up to speak,
Some future politicians we may have to keep an eye on next week!

There was mock voting โ€” โ€œAye!โ€ and โ€œNo!โ€
With dramatic parliamentary flair on show.
Bills were discussed, decisions were made,
And a few suspicious alliances may have been played!

Then off to the Museum of Democracy they went,
Learning how our democracy works โ€” time well spent.
From history and politics to how votes can sway,
They packed in a whole lot of learning for the day.

So hereโ€™s to our kids, adventurous and bright,
Exploring Canberra from morning till night.
A little bit of history, politics and fun โ€”
And perhaps a few future MPs have just begun!
