A huge thank you to Michael from Wheelienet for visiting Hahndorf Primary School yesterday and teaching the JP, MP and Senior students the basics of Wheelchair Basketball during PE. It was a fantastic, inclusive experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We appreciate Michael’s passion and expertise. Our students learned so much and had a great time!

🎉 Congratulations to our amazing Senior Unit! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that our Picasso Cow, “Sweet Cowaline,” has won FIRST PRIZE in the national Dairy Australia competition! Achieving a perfect score is an outstanding accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud of everyone involved.

Well done to all the students and staff, your creativity and hard work have paid off.

The Senior Unit’s Expo was a huge success!
Students wowed everyone with their inventive Mechanica creations and it was fantastic to see so many parents and family members visiting, with students proudly sharing their work.
The maths games designed by students brought fun and challenge to everyone who joined in.
A special highlight was ‘Sweet Cowaline,’ beautifully decorated as part of Dairy Australia’s ‘Picasso Cow’ program. Well done to all involved!

Today, our Early Years Unit had a very special visit from Jess, Hamish, and Leon, who is a Lions Assistance Dog. The students thoroughly enjoyed learning about Leon’s important role. Everyone was delighted to give Leon a gentle pat while he wore his orange vest off, which means he was off duty and happy to interact. A big thank you to Jess, Hamish, and Leon for joining us and sharing such a valuable experience with our students!

🎨 The Hahndorf Stobie Pole Project is now in action!
Our creative students have been working alongside artist Suzanne Healey, bringing new colour and imagination to the heart of our community.
A heartfelt thank you to Narelle Hardingham for coordinating this fantastic project and for involving both Hahndorf Primary School and St Michael’s Lutheran Primary School. We are also deeply grateful to the Hahndorf Academy and Hahndorf Lions Club for their amazing support. This collaboration is a wonderful example of what our community can accomplish when we work together.
Keep an eye out - soon you'll see the stunning painted panels installed along Balhannah Road and Church Street. The results are already looking incredible!

🌟 Exciting news from our Senior Unit! 🌟
Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting Roberto Daminco from the University of Adelaide. As part of our Project-Based Learning this term, our students are diving into the fascinating topics of growing food in space and reducing waste. 🍎🛰️
Roberto’s visit gave students real insights into innovative research, sparking amazing discussions and creative problem-solving. Students are now buzzing with ideas and can’t wait to contribute to these exciting challenges!
