It’s a fun week ahead at St Michael’s!

We’ll kick off the week with our Book Week Parade on Monday in the Worship Centre. Students are invited to come dressed as a favourite book character as we celebrate our love of books and reading together.

Then on Friday evening, it’s time for our School Disco! We’re looking forward to an evening of music, dancing and fun with friends.

A great week of reading, creativity and community ahead!

This Friday at Playgroup, we’re embracing all things winter! Little learners will enjoy a morning of seasonal activities, hands-on play and plenty of opportunities to explore, create and have fun together.

Join us at St Michael’s ELC from 9:00am–10:30am.

Playgroup is open to all families, with a gold coin donation and fruit provided for the children.

Last week, our St Michael’s community got behind the ALWS Pipe Up for a Pump appeal with a day full of fun, learning and plenty of cow-themed creativity!

Our Junior Learning Community students are working towards raising enough money to purchase a water pump for a community in Nepal, and it was wonderful to see the whole school get involved and support their fundraising efforts.

Throughout the day, students enjoyed:
🍦 Making ice cream in a bag
🧈 Making butter from cream
🥛 Whipping up strawberry milkshakes
🎨 Painting the Picasso cow
🐄 Creating clay cows
🐮 Meeting two very special calves and having the chance to feed them by bottle!

The JLC students continued the fun after school with a sausage sizzle and movie night.

Thank you to everyone who dressed up, donated and joined in. It was a wonderful day of community, connection and learning about how small contributions can make a big difference.

We’re halfway through Term 3! It’s hard to believe we’re already at the midpoint of the term, and there’s plenty happening as we head into the second half.

A reminder that our Village Collective event is on Wednesday evening, exploring Girls – Trading Anxiety and Perfectionism for Authentic Growth. The session will look at the pressures girls can experience around anxiety and perfectionism and how we can support them to develop confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of self.

We encourage parents and carers to come along and be part of the conversation.

Yesterday, St Michael's students enjoyed a fantastic performance from Meerkat Productions as part of our Book Week celebrations.

With plenty of storytelling, imagination and laughs along the way, the performance brought the magic of books to life and had our students thoroughly entertained.

🔭 B is for Binoculars! 🐦🌿

Last week for B Week, our little explorers created their very own pair of binoculars! 🔭✨

The excitement grew as the children headed outside into our Nature Play Area, binoculars in hand, ready to explore and see what they could discover. They eagerly searched the trees and gardens, hoping to spot our resident possum and observe the wonderful birdlife around our ELC. 🐦🦉🌳

With their binoculars held up high, the children truly felt like real explorers, carefully observing, wondering and sharing their discoveries with one another.

There’s plenty happening at St Michael’s next week!
On Tuesday, students will enjoy a performance from Meerkat Productions, bringing an exciting live theatre experience to our school.

Thursday is our Dairy Theme Dress Up Day as part of our support for ALWS Gifts of Grace. We’re looking forward to seeing the creative ways our students get involved!

Our Junior Learning Community students will also take part in their Stay Up Late evening - a great opportunity for students to connect, have fun and enjoy time together outside of the classroom.

We look forward to another great week of learning and community at St Michael’s.

Join us this Friday from 9:00am–10:30am at St Michael’s ELC for a morning of storytelling, creativity and imaginative play inspired by our Dreamtime theme.

Little learners will enjoy meaningful activities, art, music and hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity and a sense of wonder.
