The doors to are now closed….

A very heartfelt thank you to all who have joined me on my 17.5 year journey, it’s truly been one of the biggest blessings of my life.

Here are some of the memories we made over the years!

Hey everyone I need your help.

Do you have photos of me and/or your kids at North St that you would be happy to share?

As you may have read in a previous post, North St Learn to Swim is closing for 2026 after 17 years and thousands of kids and families coming through the doors. Additionally, 2025 marks 30 years of me teaching swimming!

In order to commemorate both momentous occasions I would like to put a slideshow together with photos of the kids from over the years.

If you would like to contribute please send your photos to me via the messenger chat function. The more photos the better so please send away!

Big news….

After 17 wonderful years and thousands of children and their families coming through the doors, North St Learn to Swim will be closing at the end of 2025 for up to 12 months while I head off to do a graduate year.

Lessons will continue as per normal until the end of this year.

Due to the upcoming closure, no new enrolments will be accepted for the remainder of the year except for siblings of current enrolments.

For those who are currently enrolled, I am currently formulating a plan for how I may absorb my current enrolments at my Fawkner facility. I will let everyone know what the plan is once I have it all sorted.

Please reach out if you have any questions… but there will be more info to come!

Hello everyone,

It has come to my attention that “crypto” is once again doing the rounds. This is a highly infectious gastro bug and once in the pool water is extremely difficult to remove.

The medical advice is that you should NOT swim for 2 WEEKS following any gastro to avoid contaminating the pool and making others unwell.

If your child has gastro I would ask that you follow this advice. Please let me know in advance if you are going to miss classes and I will be happy to try to make up those classes if you are doing the right thing and staying away.

Further details below

The Department of Health is advising Victorians not to swim in public swimming pools for at least two weeks if they have had diarrhoea, as cases of cryptosporidiosis (‘crypto’) begin to increase across the state.

Hi everyone,

You may or may not be aware but there is an incredibly contagious gastro bug doing the rounds.

It has closed a number of local pools recently. Unlike your run of the mill gastro bug this one is EXTREMELY resistant and hard to get rid of.

PLEASE DO NOT bring your kids to swimming if they have had any bowel issues and stay out if the water for two weeks post first normal poo.

Visit www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/healthy-swimming for more information

There have been outbreaks of cryptosporidium at our local public pools. This is extremely contagious AND tough to eliminate from the water.

Please DO NOT come to swimming if you have had any symptoms of gastro or diarrhoea. The advice is to stay out of the pool for 14 days from the last symptoms.

Fact sheet and info below.
