🏃‍♀️🏅 What a fantastic day at the Cooyar Sports Day! 🏅🏃‍♂️

Our Haden Heroes gave it their all, bringing home 2 Age Champions, 4 Age Champion Runners-Up and plenty of ribbons to celebrate an outstanding day of effort and achievement! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Jesse who sprinted into the record books and now holds the 50m sprint record for his age group! ⚡👏

To top it all off, Haden State School proudly finished 2nd in the Average Score—an incredible result that reflects the determination and teamwork of every student.

🏉🔵🔴 State of Origin fever hit Haden State School today! 🔴🔵🏉

With colours galore, plenty of friendly rivalry and even an impromptu game on the oval at break time, our Haden Heroes were ready for Origin! 🤩
Hugo even snuck into the photo to join the celebrations... and judging by his colours, he clearly has the right idea! 😏 Maroon was loud and strong at Haden State School today! ❤️💛

Just a reminder that there will be no Breakfast Club this Thursday as our Haden Heroes head off bright and early for the Athletics Carnival.

We can't wait to cheer on our students as they run, jump and throw their way through an exciting day of competition! 💛💙

🌟 What have our Haden Heroes been up to lately? 🌟
🦎 Last Friday, we officially welcomed Hugo as the newest member of the Haden family!
📚 We've been enjoying the adventures of Selby, the amazing talking dog, as we continue exploring the much-loved book series.
💛 Chappy Penny has been helping us learn more about our emotions and how to manage them through the Zones of Regulation.

So much learning, laughter and growing together at Haden State School! 🚀

💻🚀 Mr Springall has been right in his element this week as our Prep to Year 2 Haden Heroes stepped into the world of Digital Technologies!

Using ScratchJr, students have begun learning the basics of coding by creating programs that make a character move at the press of on-screen buttons. It has been fantastic to see students problem-solving, testing their ideas and thinking like young programmers. 🌟

We can't wait to see where their coding journey takes them next... 🤔🦎 Could our new mascot be making an appearance in some future projects? Stay tuned!

💙 Happy National Chaplaincy Day! 💙

Today we celebrated and thanked our wonderful chaplain, Chappy Penny, for the care, kindness and support she provides to our students, staff and wider Haden community.

Our School Leaders were proud to present Chappy Penny with a special card on behalf of the school as a small token of our appreciation for everything she does.

Thank you, Chappy Penny, for making such a positive difference in the lives of our Haden Heroes each and every day! 🌟

📚✨ Today our Haden Heroes joined schools, libraries and communities across the country for National Simultaneous Storytime! 🇦🇺

It was so exciting to be part of Australia’s biggest reading session and celebrate the joy and importance of reading together 💛

Stories help us learn, imagine, connect and understand the world around us. Today’s story finished with a powerful reminder: “So next time someone doubts you or you feel like you don’t belong, muster all your inner strength and prove that someone wrong.” 🌟

🥪🍳 Breakfast Club is on this Thursday at 8:30am! 🍳🥪

This week we have a special warm breakfast on the menu… toasted sandwiches! 🤩

We will also be celebrating “Walk Safely To School Day” (a little late, Haden style 😄). Families are invited to meet us at Haden Park at 8:15am as we walk to school together before enjoying a warm breakfast when we arrive 💛🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

After an incredible response from our students, families and community, our Blue Tongue mascot has officially arrived at Haden State School 💛

But there’s still one very important job left to do… he needs a NAME! 🤩

To fit with our Haden Heroes, his name must start with the letter H. Drop your best ideas in the comments below 👇
