‘ROCKN’ ROCKS’ INSTRUMENT GROUPS
– All group lessons are held after school or Saturday mornings. Cost is $15 per half hour session at our premises in Red Hill South, or we can come
to you on the Mornington Peninsula for $20 per half hour session. All sessions are geared towards fun with the instrument and learning to play popular songs. Children will bring their own guitar to learn the basics of chords and some simple songs. The basics of rhythm, beat, tempo and dynamics will be covered along with some basic music theory and sight reading. Drum Groups
Recommended age range 4-8 years. Children will learn the basics of drumming in a group setting (drum kit is provided for lesson, no drum kit is needed at home for practice although it is definitely an advantage). Mixed Instrument Group
Recommended age range 4-12 years. Unsure of which instrument your child should play? This is the perfect lesson for them. Many popular instruments are covered in this weekly workshop such as guitar, drums, keyboard, singing, ukelele, bass guitar and percussion instruments. Give your child a fun musical experience to help them find which instrument is the one they really want to learn without spending huge amounts of money on instruments and lessons they really don’t connect with. The basics of rhythm and beat are covered along with basic music theory. Keyboard Groups Coming soon: register your interest. Vocal Groups Coming soon: register your interest.
‘ROCKSKOOL’ Recommended age range 8-15 years. Maximum students per session: 7. Do you have a group of friends who play (or want to play) different instruments and want to form a band? Rockskool is the place to be! We will mentor your band, teach you to play your instruments, teach you songs and even how to write your own material. Aspects of musicianship and stagecraft will be covered as well. Price is $30 per child for a one hour session.
