What a great way for our Year 12 Gympie Trade Training student, Connor, to finish his schooling!

After completing work placement with Akyrah Kitchens this the year, Connor has now commenced a School Based Apprenticeship with the business.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗿! What a fantastic achievement and a great example of how work placement can lead to real employment opportunities.

A big thank you to Sam and the team at Akyrah Kitchens for giving Connor this opportunity and supporting him as he takes the next step in his career.

𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝟰

The futsal competition will run Mondays after school from Week 2–Week 8.

Students interested in participating, please see Mr Reid before the end of Week 7, Term 3.

On Tuesday 11th of August, the 𝗨𝟭𝟰 𝗩𝗘𝗧𝗢 Futsal squad travelled down to Nissan Arena for Game Day 3.

The boys played some amazing futsal (and not so amazing futsal) managing to finish the day with two wins and one loss after coming back from 3 nil down in the last game 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗻!!

Game 1: 4 - 1 win against Murrumba SC
Game 2: 3 - 14 loss against Mt Gravatt SHS
Game 3: 4 - 3 win against Indooroopilly SHS

The boys have finished 5th on the table (tied 4th, but we lost to Bribie so they take 4th spot) and will compete for the Shield final next term.

𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

Our Senior Dance students had the fantastic opportunity to work with Queensland Ballet in Week 5, learning new choreography and challenging themselves with new techniques.

It was a fun and engaging workshop that directly supports their senior performance assessment. A wonderful opportunity to learn from industry professionals!
