If you are hitting resistance with the learning experiences, activities, or programs you are setting up for your child,YOUR CHILD IS NOT THE PROBLEM.

Resistance is not a sign of laziness. It’s not a sign of defiance.

It’s a sign of struggle.

Not all struggles are academic!

❤️ It could be emotional struggle with your expectations.
🖍 It could’ve creative struggle with the way they are required to show their understanding.
🗣 It could be a communication struggle as they feel misheard or misunderstood.
🧠 It could be a mental struggle as the material is presented in a way that doesn’t make sense to them.
🫀 It could be a heart struggle if they have no interest in the content but don’t want to hurt your feelings.
🏃🏽 It could be a physical struggle as they need to move their bodies but are required to sit still or restrict movement.

Don’t let your child’s resistance be the reason you quit on them. It doesn’t mean homeschooling can’t work for you. It just means you need to do the work to figure out HOW to support them so that it CAN work. 💚

We're shaking things up a bit!

Like most other businesses (and society in general), Tiarn Florence Holistic Education has had to make some pivots over the past couple of years.

These have been challenging, exciting and overall allowed for great growth.

While things have been quiet here on our social media, I have continued supporting learners via ZOOM and am creating offerings that will reach more learners in profound, new ways!

I've missed welcoming learners into our physical space but am so looking forward to reconnecting and meeting some more of you through upcoming programs.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

I'm taking a break from 1:1 sessions this term so that I can focus on creating something that will support even more learners.

I took a step back from work over the holidays to feel into what direction Tiarn Florence Holistic Education would take in this new year.

While it will unfortunately mean missing all the learners I'd been seeing week-to-week, it will also mean finally bringing to life some of the ideas that I've had swirling around in my mind for years!
